Jems arent mahogany - they're Basswood, I think But that's a bonus, if yours is mahogany , imo. RG's are great guitars. I prefer them to Jems, anyway - aesthetically. I don't like the ✅ Monkeygrip ✅ tree of life inlays ✅ Pearloid pick guard ✅ the pick guard full stop! ✅ Gold hardware

Ibanez doesn't support their gear. It doesn't matter how good the guitar is now, you're screwed down the road if you need parts. Get a guitar that you'll always get parts and service like a Fender or a Gibson. Yes they're overpriced but you will always get parts and service.
