Ibanez RGIXL7 quick metal test

Hi everyone!
Recently i have an perfect opportunity tot test this gorgeous metal machine from ibanez. Full black 7 string baritone from Ibanez. What can be better...
Music in this video made by me.
Thi is not demonstration of my skills. All audio was pre-recorded.
I use line 6 POD HD PRO X and Cubase 5. That is all.
Guitar tuned to "standard A" ADGCFAD (from 7 to 1).
Ernie ball strings 10-56.

Good lord, sir! Your playing is spectacular, such precise right hand technique, absolutely NO wasted movement. Guitar sounded pretty dope, but I can never gauge how a new one would sound on my budget rig.

Thank you so much! I think this guitar can sound pretty good on any type of rig. I play on this at line 6 pod hd pro x and it sounds great. And even on old line 6 ux1 it sounds pretty good too!

It looks like this 7-string Ibanez baritone has even thinner, faster neck than many of the standard 25,5" 7-string Ibanez. This honestly look like they have taken a 25,5" Wizard II neck and stretched it out longer and thinner to 27" :D

Sorry, i cant agree with you :) It is pretty similar neck to all other 7 string Ibanez guitars i ever tried.

@@stringsofevil Perhaps It is just an illusion because of the scale lenght but it looks really thin. I was looking up different Ibanez necks and it is actually the same as many other 7 string wizard necks. My Schecter Demon-8 with 28" scale lenght look a lot thicker and slower than any Ibanez neck :)

@@mathias6423 Yeah. There you completely right. Ibanez necks is very thin :) And for me it is main reason why i love ibanez guitars. Really thin necks on all products. Even on 8 string guitars :)

My one beef with Ibanez. You get two choices. Dream specs, black finish. beautiful finish, exactly what you're looking for ; specs were picked by a blind/deaf person

Do you think the string gauge also fits a half step lower? (G#) i wanna buy this guitar, but i don't want to mess the nut for higher gauge

I play in A-standard tuning (ADGCFAE). And i use Ernie ball 9-52 strings. It is very comfortable for me. I try use 10-56 strings. But it is too much for me.

@@stringsofevil okay, so Standard gauge from thomann is 10-59, so it seems that it might be more than fine for G#, since it's also a baritone

I'm assuming this is about scale length - from personal experience going between a standard 25, a bass (34), and a 27 eight string, it isn't too bad - larger hands help and doing more complicated stretchy stuff in the low end takes a bit of time to get used to and requires more effort, but most things you do will be fine!
