Hi bass maniacs! Today I was testing extraorinary 7 string, fretted&fretless Ibanez SRAS7 BASS, Here some specs:

Doesn't make sense, but, they're on sale at the Music Zoo and I should get one. Fretless deserves more than 30 seconds. Good review.

Jak na moje bass brzmi świetnie, a jeszcze lepiej się prezentuje. Nurtuje mnie jednak ważne pytanie, mianowicie zamierzałem za jakiś czas zakupić bass bezprogowy i jednocześnie jakoś odświeżyć arsenał o nowa gitarę. Ta tutaj wydaje się spełniać całe spektrum moich teraźniejszych potrzeb, i tu pojawia się właśnie wspomniane pytanie: jest to w pełni kompetentny bass, który w razie potrzeb mógłbym wykorzystywać "profesjonalnie" czy może jedynie ciekawa zabawka?

Maybe I missed it but were you able to play any solos or other using all the strings? I remember seeing this bass and thinking that could be fun. But I believe it was tuned different than a normal 7 string bass like I would use.

That bass can be used in many, many options, so, technically - it's possibile. I found, that cool idea of developing this instrument is looping some parts on e.g freltess section , and then playing another layer over it on fretted section. It sounds like two diffrent basses, and thats the point IMHO. I tried to do this on test - see end of the moovie. The fretted section has standard tuning: G-D-A-E, and fretless section: G-D-A.

Excuse me, but the WHOLE POINT of the bass is to switch between fretted and fretless seamlessly!! So this "sound test" is only doing 55% of the instrument. Living proof that SOME cats have NO BUSINESS making KZbin videos!! And with that string noise PLEASE!! And this is coming from a 55 year-old raw beginner.
