Ibanez Super 58 Pickups Demo (No Commentary)

Ibanez have a surprisingly wide tonal range. The front pickup jazz sound is delicious, thick, rich, detailed.

Great demo! Thank you. Couple days ago i played AMH90 and AS73(semihallow) trough the same clean amp, and 90 has not weaker sustain then a semi hallow one. Maybe, but jus maybe i think, on the bridge pickup on the AS73(semi) has not more then 5% longer "punch". Neck pickup sound is more beautiful on 90. amazing guitar.

Pretty Artcore, awesome pickups, sweet demo! I way prefer these narrower shape of horns of other makers of this style of semi hollow. No Tri-Sound switch options on this round, too much for the time allotment?

How long has Ibanez been making these pickups? I have a 1970's Ibanez "les Paul" that had a sticker that said "SUPER 58" ( I think). That sticker got polished off many, many moons ago. These PI's I have are damn nice.

That long. They had this pickup since forever. Newer ones are splittable, older haven't been though.

While considering this guitar, you should also consider the AR520H. Same pickups and tones only it is a semi-hollow as opposed to the full hollow here. I love mine and its tone with the TriSound switches.

I got the AS93FM-TCD I like it more then 335 , I can't tell which wood is fancier but the finish on mine is awesome. In .y my opinion I won't go lower than ibanez AS93FM-TCD only higher

The Super 58 is the finest pickup out there for clean. Even Gibson's famous classics are plain and dull in comparison.

When I played both in a Guitar Center I much preferred the Ibanez. I haven’t played a lot of 335s but they feel awkward to play compared to other semi hollows

I got a 80’s LR10 with Super 58’s vintage. Prefer it over my Gibson 335, not that the 335 is a bad guitar but there is just something special about those 58’s.

thanks for the awesome demo! do these "feel" more like a solidbody as compared to a larger size semi? been looking for a smaller semihollow with humbuckers to complement my strat, i tried the epi es339 but it felt way too much like a les paul coimpared to its larger siblings (the dot and sheraton)

Thanks Hiro! This one actually is fully hollow. So, think Casino but with humbuckers. And I havent taken measurements just yet, on body size compared to a standard "335 style".. but, this feels every bit as hollow as she is.. completely haha.. Really cool feel honestly.. Running straight through a hot fuzz and its classic Black Keys/White Stripes all day long.. or clean, touch of verb and its George Benson season.. pretty sweet.. I'll have the full guitar run through up soon :)
