This is testament on how singers can be able to do more within their voice their only limitation being the genre their band is in or the type of songs they aim to make. I always knew Gerard can scream but at this level of intensity is what I think surprised many. I got a similar feeling when we found out that Phil Bozeman (Whitechapel) can sing fantastic cleans. No singer's voice is limited it all depends on how you use it and if it matches the song.

My Chemical Romance were always a band I adored, from the first moment I heard them at 12 I was hooked. Their range of influences bring so much to their sound. As I got older I ventured further into metal in particular especially black metal. But always loved My Chem throughout. I also appreciate Matt Heafy's clear passion for diverse music too, which I have seen over the years. But to all come together with Ihsahn. I wasnt ready. I never knew I would get this or need it. Sure, the poppier, lighter and catchier aproach made some of the older fans disappointed, but I think this would also be a great addition in a possible future release, the melodic influence of things like SING and The Light Behind Your Eyes, or the catchier and poppier sound from Na Na Na and Gun., or even the more experimental sound they used on Destroya.
