Will Ibasso implement a tube amp module? I've got the notion that tubes were too big to fit. Just wondering where you got your source so I could further look into it myself. Awesome review btw.

100% they will. They did tube amp for iBasso DX220 and DX300 has more free volume inside.

Hi, excellent review. I am in dilemma in buying m11 plus or dx300, I would be using the player for atleast 3 years, so let me know which would be best m11 plus or dx300. Also I have ifi hip DAC, will the DAC be of any use with the m11 plus or dx300. I appreciate your help. Thanks

It is quite simple - they are from different leagues. DX300 - top model, M11+ - nice but second in line, it is kinda step back. About DAC can't say, don't know this particular model, but I believe it will work. But will be useless - DX300 IS excellent DAC. :)

Nice review! Is the bass of the DX 300 really tight and textured or more smooth and rounded?

Ty for the review! great video too (close-up). Im in the market getting my first DAP. Im in the battle between DX300 and M11 Ltd. Been reading reviews on both devices. So far i am liking what im reading about DX300. Im only afraid for future support for this device. I mean, this is not a CHEAP DAP compare to half price M11 Ltd. My question is should I get this now? or wait for the AMPs (changeable) to come out or wait for M17? Im worried about spending too much money, only to find out after 1 year using DAP become irrelevant compare to what I am seeing (last generation daps), getting less support not only on hardware but software too. If im getting this device, i want it at least good for 3 yrs or more. I know we get better technology every year. But what i am saying is "no point to buy another DAP, because this year (2024-iBass0 DX600) its not much or little difference from iBasso DX300 (hardware/software). For example iPhone 10max compare todays iPhone 12 (little difference when it comes to performance to my understanding), that is why im still rocking iPhone10 max 512GB. TY!

D300 will be in support for many years, like it was with D220. Reason is simple - interchangeable amps. Ibasso will produce new amps like every half year. And of course new firmware etc. It is a TOP player after all. If you go to M11, you will get it as it is. And in next year Fiio will develope a new player. M11 pro, M11 plus. :) An on second hand market it will be easier to sell DX300 + amps.

Yes. And it was kind of disappointing because without it you can not connect DX300 as an external HDD.

I'm planning to buy this DAP. but, I want to be sure. does this DAP sounds incredible while played TIDAL ? or it just sounds like any expensive smartphone with TIDAL.. mostly I listen to TIDAL. thanks edit : now, I'm using samsung galaxy fold + dragonfly red and CIEM Ultimate Ears Reference Remastered

It IS incredible with Tidal. Tidal app works on it flawlessly in bit perfect mode plus it can unfold MQA in full range up to 8x. So it sounds amazing with good headphones.

Mqa for me is snakeoil. Still. You can't origami "unfold" 384khz data from a 44.1khz flac. Period. If they would be able that audio packaging would win everyone, and every digital award. Mqa didn"t win it right? Obviosly.

No, sure no. In any case I will prefer true HD. MQA is like “lossy Hi-res” which is strange for me.
