@darksyde3000 we were not shielddropping or asdi'ng down (especially out of walk) in 2013. just those two things are massive defensive changes in the past few years shielddropping literally changed how we viewed melee. being stuck on a platform used to be bad, now sheik lives on platforms and marth/fox get such good openings descending from or attacking into plats buffering inputs was rare ccing was much rarer and not nearly as utilized

Not sure if that was something they had when they were a "god" too, but that seemed to be the reason they quit and did not feel like they had endurance to compete.

You can see why "Marthritis" was a common term back then. Punish game was not optimized and so many dropped edge guards. Still more fun to watch then Kodorin's Marth though. I don't know what it is but it just looks weird watching him play Marth.
