good too the first few comments are as mature as they are u could tell whose the bboy to whose the eboy. They both did real nice. No winner and i liked how lil kev not only challenged the kid but he didn't underestimate him then again lil kev was like him at that age. Keep in mind, the only moves that Bboys took from gymnastics, are Flares, and Airflares. There are still a ton of other moves that Bboys made, like baby-mills, windmills, elbow-flares, spinning air-chair, crickets/UFO's, etc.

@hakura88 Do you recall Omar? Back in 2004, his forte was mostly powermoves and he won Red Bull BC One. End was another powermove who got to semifinals, which is pretty good ranking for someone who can only execute intense powermoves.

@bboynaturalEMT True, true, i agree it is debatable. I see it as analagous to lifting vs running. You need breaks for both, but you cannot lift nearly as often as you can run. I can see your POV, certainly. I see a tonna bboys with huge upperbodies, planching and all that, but with tiny ass legs. There's a guy in my crew who can bench bodyweight+40 but hasn't done a squat in his life. If you're that kind of build, its possible that footwork is too stressful. Really depends on the person

To all the people who are hating on Pockets style, if you are a bboy you'd understand that its alot harder to pick up powermoves the older you get, we have an 8 year old bboy in our crew called monster were training him up to be a power head and his own style is developing through it, but if these young gunz have power before thier teenagers its a hell of alot easier learning footwork than it is immense power like pocket so give him a break hes dope!

Come on...Lil Kev is older now so obviously hes more mature and has developed some style of his own. Pockets still a kid so some concepts to him will be viewed differently compared to a more matured person. I don't think anyone killed anyone here. This felt more like an opening for Pocket to explore new territories in bboying.

He's 14, I'm too and i make powermoves, top rocks and freezes ! When Lil Kev was younger (in IBE 2005) he knew toprocks ! Breakdance is 85% Dance, FootWork, TopRock, Freeze and 15% Powermoves ! When you make only powermoves you're not a bboy you're gymnast ! The feeling is the most important thing when you dance and if you think otherwise you must stop bboying ! I'm not jealous of Pocket, he's better than me but he can't dance. Stop talking if you don't know.

@pureownshard It really depends. It trues that you cant CONSTENTLY practice power on a single day and this is why breaks are important, as well as stretching before and after. But most of the part in power comes from understanding the actual body motion, getting over the fear, and then do it a few times (a lot of time in fact.) But footwork is a totally different thing, it's actual creativity, and that, theres no "fixed" amount of training, it's all about your creativity. So it's debatable...

Powermove = repeating the same move over and over again until you get it Footwork = Learning to fit all those power you learned somewhere between the mess of your legs, all while folowing the beat, and keeping it fresh because no one wants to see you doing 5 spins of 6 step.

Bboying is mostly Style & footwork but thats not the point. Express yourself which is what bboying is about. I get your point but the truth is that Powermovers have a style. Some do some moves better that others and they enfazice on those moves. Look at Cico, he's a powermover by soul. But he's dope. He's moves are clean. Its not which moves you make, is how you make the moves. Pocket was 13 and he started breakin at 10, 3 years in. He didn't had a style back then Now he's better. Many powermovers make the same move. But they do it differently. that's what really important. Sorry if my is english bad.

@bboynaturalEMT I disagree. You can only practice power every day for so long before your arms and body give out. Toprock/Footwork you can practice all day, you can even practice after you can't do anymore power. I understand where you're comin from. But there are a lotta people who focus on power, so it makes it seem as if those who focus on footwork are rarer, hence the belief that the skill is more difficult.

I can't footwork "all day", I definitly need breaks during my footwork competitions. And most of the bboy do. A good example is bboy taisuke during BC One 2008. He faced 3 powerheads, and was footworking most of the time (a part from maybe 1 or 2 power per battle) And you can clearly see that he was dead in the final.
