A350 is a very quiet aircraft to fly in, much better than the Boeing Dreamliner.

⁠@@stevenwest000As a person who has flown both the A350 and 787, these are some notable differences in ride quality and passenger comfort. -The A350 has a rougher ride quality compared to the 787. Since the A350 doesn’t have wingflex nor a curved wingtip like the 787, which made the ride more smoother than the A350. -The A350 has wider seats compared to the 787, (17.5” on 787, 18” on A350) -The 787 has larger overhead bins than the A350, (A350 can fit 3 bags while the 787 can fit 4 I think.) -The 787 has quieter engines than the A350, (GEnx Only) -The A350 has a wider cabin (more like 777) -The 787 has larger/dimmable windows compared to the A350’s smaller/traditional windows. (Dimmable windows will be coming though)

Great footage, amazing how it take five mins to fly across London but to go back the other way by public transport takes over an hour. I saw the O2 arena, London Stadium, Emirates Stadium and Craven Cottage on the way in.

Not really @freddywhite5768 . A great utilisation of widebodies in between long haul overnight flights. No point in them being on the ground all day when they can be shuttling trunk intra-European flights during the day. Turkish do the same.

It all comes down to if you manage to fill up the aeroplane. Iberia's A350 seats 348 passengers and the flight Madrid - London ticket costs currently ca. 200 € average (one way). That's around 70.000 € revenue for a flight that lasts 2:20 hrs. Considering that the total operating costs of an Airbus A350 are 9.400 €/hour (including burn fuel, crew wages, maintenance, allowances, etc.), turns out that the net profit of such a flight is 48.371 € per leg (70.000 € revenue - 21.628 € operating costs), which means roughly a profit of 21.000 €/flight hour. If you compare it to the profit for the same Madrid - London flight of an A320 Neo with 240 seats and 7.500 €/hour operating costs, turns out that the profit is 48.000 € revenue - 17.250 operating costs = 30.750 € per flight, or 13.400 € per flight-hour. This means that provided that you fill up the aeroplane, since the operating cost ratio per flight hour/passenger is better on a A350 than on a A320 (27 € passenger/flight hour vs. 31 € passenger/flight hr.), your profit is almost double with a A350 than with a A320 on a typical 2:20 hrs. flight like the Madrid - London route.
