Iberia Express : Business Class Madrid - Gran Canaria A321
Hola and welcome to a trip that took me to my vacation destination last september 2016 , the island of Gran Canaria ,Spain.
Collecting Oneworld miles in Europe is fun ,with european members like : Air Berlin, British Airways ( you all know i am going to fly them), Finnair and Iberia , also with soon to rejoin ,renegade ex member Aer Lingus as well.
But now about Iberia Express , after check in , u get to go through the fast lane at security check ,very useful i must admit.
I could have stayed in Salvador Dali's(my favorite spanish artist together with Pedro Almodovar) , lounge longer than i did, it was fun and relaxing as well but i was there to catch a flight , wasn't I ?
No delays of any kind , crew was friendly , the food was very good and those drinks kept coming , i really don't know how i finished this trip report , i was out of focus myself an hour before landing (you know what i mean).
Once again Buddha Simpson didn't appear because i send him with the luggage in the belly of the plane by mistake , but he was there in spirit.
Like u already know if u saw my Iberia :Vienna -Madrid video , MAD (Madrid - Barajas) ,is my favorite airport in Europe because of the size of those ceilings ,which give a lot of space and light and the design can only be compared to a Stanley Kubrick movie set.
At the beginning of the video there is no way to the airport description because i was connecting from Vienna.
Hope u had fun watching , i know i did have fun flying it.

Hi Derek i did have a great time in this flight i was going on vacation and was in that happy mood just to spend a few days on a nice island, the service was good and the drinks kept coming as you can see , one of my personal favorite flights. Que viva Espana !!!

Thanks for posting this. I just redeemed 2 roundtrip tickets with BA Avios to Madrid on IB Express for my sister and her friend. For the return there was only availability in Business Class and I'm happy to see what they can expect. Standard J-'cabin' for EU carriers so not bad in that perspactive.

Hola Estrella , maybe because it was business on board their low cost product Iberia Express and yes there was room for improvement. As i talked to the one crew members even he agreed that the passengers in this class deserve a better product. Thank you for watching.Emmanuel. In december you will see in the channel a very good buisness class product , in a European route.

Hola ad first of all thx for the nice comment. In my opinion there are 2 types of business class the short distance one (like in this video) and the long distance one. For the one in this video i got lucky and had to add not that much since the original ticket was an economy one. It was fun to do it but one does feel a major difference only when it is a long distance flight since the plane is bigger thus making the seat even better and let's face it we spend most of the time in that seat , the use of a VIP Lounge was also great specially in a big airport like Barajas. Give it a try once u will like it.

Thanks for the answer! Yep, I think the same... for a little flight (or, in other words, on a short-haul airplane) I think is not worth the money it costs. Something completely different is for long-haul flights. In my opinion, the business class on short-haul is only worth to book when you're connecting to another long-haul flight, also in business... I've never flown in business class. I had the opportunity some months ago, as I had more than enough miles (I'm in the Lufthansa Miles&More program) to book a European flight in business, but I decided to get 2 return flights to the same destination for the same amount of miles. The frequent flyer programs are a very good opportunity to get some upgrades or directly book a business class flight "for free".

@supernumery I did enjoy that trip ,as i do most of the trips i am in first of all i got to speak spanish again which feels so relaxing to me. I will return to Gran Canaria next year but on a different carrier to test them. I love BA their crews is what make them stand out (whether in businnes or economy) , early 2019 a BA trip report to Israel will be coming on board a 777 i think if the ydon't change the plane to a 787.Thanks for watching.Que viva Espana !!!

Iberia was not an airline I would choose given a choice. But they have improved a lot. The meal depicted is something that I want to eat !! On Iberia Express? Air Nostrum?

Hallo Brigitte , das ist durch Geld, manchmal sind gute Angebote da, wenn mann früh bucht oder zuerst economy buchen , dann last minute Upgrade machen. Weil in diesen fall Iberia Express ist und nicht direkt Iberia ,sind die Preise etwas billiger genau so ist mit Lufthansa und Eurowings.

Is there Wi-Fi conection ?

No there wasn't. The entertainment system works on and app and you are given access to a Wi-Fi connection but it's limited to work with the app only. Odd somehow , after all is the cheaper version of Iberia , but now that you mention it , when having a Business Class product , the airline should also include that kind of service.

I always prefer to b too early than too late and expect delays since some aircrafts come from other destinations ,only an early morning flight can assure that the plane will b already there waiting.

Bueno lo de la comida es cosa de gusto , no estaba mal y lo del plastico tienes rezon la Business tiene k usar porcelana.Hable con el asafate y el mismo me dijo k no estan tan orgullosos de ese producto por la misma razon. Talvez por ser la Iberia Express y no la original Iberia , tengo k hacer la comparacion en el futuro haber si hay diferencia.
