Thoroughly enjoyed this years journey in the Iberian masters👍, it's been very tough for you once again but at least you avoided the white tape on all 3 days. Although your disappointed you've plugged away and as all of us viewers of your channel know that's what we've come to expect from you😃, so from all of us a BIG Thank You and a virtual Hug from us.🫂🤗 Hope Dad has enjoyed himself too, have a safe trip home and we look forward to all of the videos to come for the rest of the year. 😄

I feel for you Jamie, it can be a frustrating venue, and so snaggy also. I see there is no set pattern to the way these fish feed. Also the venue does seam to vary in width, and with that wind on , accuracy is key. Also slightly handicapped by that wall behind, when you really have to punch across that feeder. You certainly have to have the right kit for that job. But as you say , even though the fishing can be difficult, you bc do have a good crack with the lads , great company , and a few pints and discussions in the evening,s. Thanks very much Jamie for your up to date accounts off each day, the highs and lots off lows, that you have encountered, always like your honesty Jamie, it’s not all bagging, lots off scratching your head trying to work out, what’s happened. Sounds as though your not sure on returning next year ? As you say it’s not all about the fishing, but it’s nice to be up there after day one and two. Sorry I know its a great event but is it worth the heartache and frustration and lack of fish plus a venue that is crap. You would not even consider any venue in the UK where the best weight is 14 kg, reality comes forget about your heart concentrate on local or venues that don't cost you the earth to enter. How can you justify that outlay for very little reward, try to break the link and enjoy fishing instead of needing to.

Doesn't seem the place I'd like to fish maybe due to time of yr seems to be very hard going not just getting a bite but when you do manage to get a pull getting them out seems to be very difficult 😕

Seems like you should forget this venue...it's about luck not getting snagged rather than good angling.... They should sort the snags out, as to me it's not a fishery, more like a obstacle course.

It was never meant to be a fishery, it is a natural venue...a hard one and this is why people want go compete in this competition. Jamie will get it sorted sooner or later and will have the trophy on his desk.

Hi Jamie, from my carp fishing there is a train of thought that when snag fishing (clutch locked down tight with rods pointed at the hookbait) you need to account for a 10% stretch in mono. So fishing at 30 yards, fish 3 yards away from the snag. This might have been what the guys to your right was doing, especially with the added bend from a feeder rod on the take. Just a thought. i am a old match angler and was thinking on the same lines if i was there i would try a bit more of a carpy lads approach as you say lock it down and prob a bit beefer rod, and ofc dont blink lol

Not a fantastic venue for an international competitive agenda. That's miss organization and bad planning from your and and the organizers. Pick your battles. Holland is awesome. Ireland as good. As are some of the new Scottish venues.

Jamie, Just come across this video and what great coverage you have given of this competition. I know it is a difficult venue to suss out, as I used to be a federation member an fish their on a weekly basis. It is obviously even more difficult in competition situations. Looking forward to your future videos, and perhaps you might return to fish the Jucar next year in the next Iberian Open. Thanks!

No idea why they hold these competitions in March as January to April are there poorest months for fishing here in Spain. May and June and October into November are the best, the sharp little bites you’ve been getting are either small Carassios or mullet. Tough going for such a long journey, maybe they need to look at a different venue for future events like the River Jucar or one of the Embalses (reservoirs).

Tough weekend Jamie. Looks fantastic though. Have you considered a rotten bottom feeder link that would break off . That's if it's the actual feeder that's snagging up and leaving the fish still hooked. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts 😊 🙏

hi jamie, If I hear this for three days. Then there is a capital worth of Feeder in the water. And honestly, it seems more like an annoyance than a fun three days of fishing.

Their must be hundreds if not thousands of feeders,bombs etc in that river. Very expensive festival. Seems like a waste of festival to me to be honest. There's got to be better venues in Europe mate. Anyway keep up the good videos Jamie. Look forward to next upload.
