When you come here to comment on a song like this because it does not suit what you are always used to, then I am sorry to let you know that music remains, styles change, ideas change and desires change. A rendition can not and will never remain the same for every choir. I have heard many versions and this is one of them that stands out as an excellent and beautiful piece. Great job as always Daystar choir. If you are a Director or a choir member and your choir has done this song, please do not hesitate to upload that version, let others learn as well. I would really love to get other versions as well. It is all to the glory of God. Terrible and demeaning comments don't serve any purpose here than to excite the devil and ridicule God. It also belittles the effort of the entire choir that rehearsed and MINISTERED the song.

The original composer of Ibike was Dr. Oyibosiya Eberewariye. This version being performed was arranged by Mr. Derrick Esezobor and was edited by Igwe (Prof.) Laz Ekwueme. Thank you. Hi, thanks for your comment. If you paid attention this is a rearrangement of the song composed by Mr. Esezobor and improved by Prof. Ekwueme. Dr. Pinmiloye also adopted the song using a new arrangement. That's all I am hinting. I didn't claim the song for Ksticks. Cheers

This is definitely Prof. Laz Ekwueme's edited arrangement of Derrick Esezobor's version...I know because I've performed 3 versions (including this one). I hope Uncle K-Sticks is not parading another person's work as his own o.

@@oluwafemidada8137 Bros, if it had only said 'directed by', then I'd have no issues with it. The issue is that the caption says 'arranged'...well, in music, when you say you arranged a song, it means that you wrote the harmony of parts into the music as well as the textural structure of the piece. But I know for a fact that this version is arranged by Derrick Esezobor (edited by Prof. Laz Ekwueme). As a matter of fact, the arranger himself mentioned it in one of the comments here that K-Sticks is not the arranger. So, that title should not have included 'arranged'...just leave it at 'directed by' cos that is the truth.

It's not a wrong interpretation. I'm from Ijaw, d language used here is Ijaw. Dis piece was originally composed by Dr Oyibosiya Eberewariye, a medical doctor from Ijaw (Kalabari) . He was a composer, organist & director. He had his own choir . He was an organist in St Cyprains Anglican church,Hospital Road, Port Harcourt. D interpretation/subtitle is on point.

@@adebisifiyinfoluwa4748 because, songs are supposed to be interpreted based on the words, and the mood of the song. You can't be inviting people to "praise" or "worship" God in an aggressive way. This presentation is way too aggressive for the composer's desire. Also, vocally, the sopranos are way too fake, especially with their high notes, which makes it too obvious, especially for someone with a music ear. Finally, this presentation is extremely technical, and that's not the main aim of the composer. You guys tried though, but this isn't the presentation of the song at all. Also, I don't know if you asked a Bayelsan to interpret and pronounce the words for you properly. Else you might receive a lot of backlash from that ethnic group for murdering their song. Cheers.
