Since the peptidoglycan present in gram positive bacteria contain D-amino acids which are not incorporated into almost all human proteins and enzymes, I believe that D-amino acids could prove ideal for carriers of low energy isotopes that undergo a predictable transmutation which then would cause chemical changes that should destroy bacterial structures.
