OMG in my 50 s now but spent 4 years iny teens living right there... I learnt to fish from Spanish lads off the marina, and was a regular at Spuds Bar...near Hippy Market. As a kid i would cycle around to another bay where the under current was deadly. I think it was past Popeye s. Thank you .

Well I never knew Rio’s bar was there, it sounds a great little place. Mind you, it’s a good few years since I was in Es Cana. My lad was only 7 at the time…he’s getting married next year! It still looks basically the same though.

Mr.McNally, 2 fellas working in a garage reception, the older guy says "it's really quiet today, come on and play a game to pass the time ", the younger guy says" What kind of game ?", older says " you pick a set of keys from the wall, stick them up my jacksey and I'll tell you what the vehicle is and what it's in for", younger "your having a laugh ", older " I'm that confident I can get every one correct I'll bet you £50", younger "£50, your on", so he drops his trousers and leans over the counter, younger guy takes a set of keys and inserts them and says " ok, what's that ?", older says " a 2016 mondeo in for a new clutch", the lad checks the book and its spot on, another key, "that's a 2021 jaguar and it's in for a service, again spot on, the young lad says to himself Christ I'm going to lose my money here, he goes under the counter and finds an old spark plug and says "ok, what's that ?", the older guy says "ee, that's CHAMPION ". Take care kid.
