They've not long ago refurbed some of these. And a recent experience felt like the seats were uncomfortable and hard. I think they have densified the cabin on these. Definitely a less comfortable ride for certain.

Europe short flights operate by normal BA are like low-cost airline, but CityFlyer can fight with Luxair.

This was really interesting as I don’t know a lot about business or European routes on city flyer . Before 9 after 5 I’ll remember that . I love city airport watched it being built in my telegraph days in westferry printers isle of dogs . Great video Neil very very much enjoyed this . Cheers

Morning Phil - I was Gold at the time I made the video. If you’re flying in the early morning or late evening, you’ll still get a decent meal.

I'd maybe suggest if you ever come to the US, try an equivalent American Eagle/Delta Connection/United Express route. It will be probably be an E175 instead though.

Great review. My opinion is that BA City flyer in business is not worth paying for. I fly often Malaga to London and will much prefer to take business to Heathrow over business to City Airport because of this very reason: the blocked middle seat. That said, i do often prefer the quietness of City Airport vs Heathrow - and from time to time, i enjoy riding economy :) :) :)

If no status euro traveller outbound from LCY... unless you need to take extra hold baggage. Inbound depends on time of day m, baggage and lounge access at returning airport.. I prefer EMB seating as no middle seats and pitch is better. Told that catering better at breakfast and evening as more higher yield business passengers. Interesting log thanks

Do they serve champagne on Club Europe, I have an option to upgrade from £99 each from LCY to BCN soon and I am still unsure what to do. Departure will be 11.20AM

They do - Castelnau similar to main line from LHR..£99 would get you more tier points and extra luggage allowance but that’s about all. Remember you still get a snack and bar service in economy on Cityflyer
