IBSF World Cup Sigulda - 2-Men Bobsleigh - Heat 2

The IBSF World Cup in Sigulda, Latvia marks last World Cup event of 2024. On the agenda: women’s skeleton, men’s skeleton, 2-woman bobsleigh, women’s monobob and two races in the 2-man bobsleigh. As is always the case, there will be a break for the 4-man bobsleigh event while the tour is in Sigulda. That’s because the 1,200-metre-long track is not suitable for the larger sleds. Furthermore, the track’s starting line above the Gauja River is located in a five-storey tower and can only be accessed via a lift.

Der IBSF Weltcup in Sigulda, Lettland bringt letzte Weltcup-Entscheidungen im Jahr 2024. Auf dem Programm: Frauen-Skeleton, Männer-Skeleton, Frauen-Zweierbob, Frauen-Monobob und zwei Rennen im Männer-Zweierbob. Die Disziplin Viererbob legt wie immer am Sigulda-Wochenende eine Pause ein. Die Gründe: Die 1.200 Meter lange Strecke ist nicht für die großen Schlitten ausgelegt. Der Startbereich der Bahn oberhalb des Gauja-Flusses befindet sich zudem in einem fünf Stockwerke hohen Turm und ist nur über einen Aufzug zu erreichen.
