Ruhpolding Women Sprint Press Conference

Tiril Eckhoff took her 5th BMW IBU World Cup win of the season and will wear the Yellow Bib for the first time in Sunday's pursuit. Eckhoff finished ahead of Hanna Oeberg and Dorothea Wierer in the Ruhpolding sprint. The three then joined the official press conference.

Way to go Tiril! What a great race! Awesome! To see you shoot like this is so great. When you hit all the targets nobody can catch you on the track. This is your best season so far. And you even undressed Dorothea from yellow jersey! Sweet! :-) I would like to know what is behind such a great improvement in shooting. That is the main reason why you are winning now. You have always been between the bests on skis. But now when you improved shooting you are almost unstoppable. :-) Not even that you are shooting cleaner but surprisingly also quite faster. I wonder if the reason is the cooperation with the Italian shooting couch? I guess it must be that.

I think she's from Südtirol which is a region of Italy that shares a border with Austria, so many people's first language there is German rather than Italian.

Well, her name is Dorothea Wierer and not Dorotea Virozzi. She is a German-speaking South Tyrolian.
