While your glob of solder is running on one side just lift that side off the board . Solder suck excess when component is free

I use the 8pin IC to make the demonstration easier. I give a link of a real micro usb repair and there you can see that the smaller the item the less clear the picture. In adition I can't give and show many details in a real repair
