With so many options to customise your faction in AoW4, it’s difficult to come up with an idea for a faction on your own. Thanks to your videos, I have enough restraints to make an empire to play with. So thanks!

Hey, some of my favourite tomes! I also imagined Cleansing Flames would go well with Glades giving the best two form units. This allows you to pick any culture, although you do need to survive the early game first. They go well with nice race transformations and lots of enchantments. Sanctuary gives anointed people AND keeper's mark. Would ferocious be nice for the pyre templar? I think primal is a nice alternative too. Stormcrow is amazing once you get fury going. Tunneling spider ( lifesteal) is also nice. Sylvan wolf needs adjacent units like pack hunter, that might be vulnerable to insanity magic? The tier 1 archer Darter has a very nice (base) attack jumping back. The tier 3 spear has a jump forward aoe in addition to regular multiple attacks. Which tomes to pick depend a lot on which major transformation you want. You have a few cool options, Gaia's Blessing being my favourite. But that really works well only after you also get the goddess tome. Corruption is really nice coming early, and it doesn't have the weaknesses celestial and fiend get. Dragon could also be nice and fit well. I like Ethereal type, it's one of the strongest, but astral tomes tend to favour magic origin units and 6 affinity is a lot. Stormborn is a lot easier to get, and Naga's are nice with a lot of wet - electrified - lightning damage. But not thematic with Cleansing Flame. A benefit of an easy tome III transformation is you can pick any low level tome you want, and they have the best enchantments to stack. Roots for blight/poison, pyro for fire/burning, rock for bleeding (and +1 def), cryo for frost/frozen. some are not for ranged but still nice, revelry and evocation.

i was thinking about that, what if you had a civ that was based on a twisted version of order where you in thrall/kill/subjugate instead of just a kill all civ? To top it off you can become a monster like beast, or a dragon i can see a lot of roleplay options that would actually work, what do you all think?

Aside from "cool" factor not sure if I understand the point of using dark in this build? Only warlocks to weaken? I was playing against AI that had similar build but high culture with angelic which made it so redundant to go against since cannot mind control them lol. Feels like high or industrial culture as a base would be also more effective and less gold issues

Weakening is applicable by all ranged sources. You got spells and ranged attackers, that's more than enough. But generally the Eldritch Base plays numbers-wise best currently imho either as Mystic, High or Industrious, yeah.

I haven't been this excited for a new DLC since Dawnguard released for Skyrim when I was a kid. Great work again, I was expecting Scions of Evil instead of Umbral Desciples It seems like Eldritch Realms is to Runesmiths what Primal Fury was to Mana Channelers. Do you think Eldritch Sovreigns could work with Artifact Hoarders? Chosen Destroyers?

i struggled a bit on battle with this build exactly how many pyre templars u need for 1 army? because i put 2 or 3 of them in 1 army

As many as you can afford before your Imperium and other incomes get dinged too hard. T4 units are the best base frames you could wish for.

Hi there Sir or good day, Awesome build you got there Im learning so it helps thanks very much. Just wondering do you have a guide/build to demoralize my enemy and concentrate on fumble, insanity type build. I have a huge love for Psynumbra from Planetfall and I wanted something similar. I was hoping for cage of suffering mechanic in Age of wonders 4 I really enjoy demoralizing locking them down so they cant move, pretty much the immobilize effect really. I love making them fail/fumblel all their attacks. Also Routing is an awesome mechanic. Something around this build much appreciated. Thanks

Will definitely see what I can do with the next update! The game's changing a lot with the next DLC (as the Dev Diaries suggest) and thus I'm waiting out for new builds until that new update hits town. Love your idea, wanted to do sth similar like that anyways and you should stay tuned for November o/
