About transformations, you can replace one Major transformation with another, Spawnkin, most likely can be replaced with Supergrowth, this will cost mana to cast, but can come in handy, as it gives options if you need particular perk, also, with Wizard King as Ruler, you can make him of different race for Roleplay reasons, by transforming Him with a race in one form and then transforming only the race.

I‘ve mentioned this in another video but you can evolve six young dragons into mythical dragons in 4 turns without a single fight. You only need Order Tier 4 for this (and preferably a wizard king to have enough casting points per round) and that can be reached quite quickly when you rush science like this. I don‘t know exactly but I think that is the fastest way to get Tier 5 dragons. Edit: You are also more flexible in your build because there‘s no need for the tome of evolution.
@Ic0nGaming Жыл бұрын
Well it is a strategy, but it is a risky one. This build works specifically with the Evo-Tome units. But if you work with Order anyways, it's a real power combo. I'll try out another science rush with this strategy in mind =)

This is how I have run them as well. This also allows you to get Faithful, which comes in handy for a build that is intent on having as many units as possible. Tier V units are very expensive for upkeep, especially in Imperium.

Industrious culture. Dragon ruler for the dragon hoard ability. +gold per turn the more items you have. Artifact Hoarder. +mana per turn the more items you have. Prospect with industrious scouts for Items to build your hoard giving you more mana and gold per turn. I feel like this is an obvious combo but I'm not sure beyound this. Maybe there hasn't been an update with a tome or racial/culture trait which would really make this have oomph and theme?

Hi, did you ever get round to trying this build you suggested?
@astralwyrm37874 ай бұрын
@@Pyronic3000 Not really but since you brought it up I gave it a go. Reclaimer seems to be the other society trait to go for though I'm not sure how must have it is. A bigger map than small works better for prospecting. Go for the underground adaptability for escavate and some early prospect tiles. Some defensive traits like tough and bulwark. What tomes to pair with it I'm not sure. Currently running tentacles -> faith. The Gold/Mana Income from a hoard doesn't seem unworkable but I don't know what would be considered good. Better tier items reward higher income. And ofcourse if you want to equip an item it means taking it out of the hoard and losing the income. My dragon is nature element. I recon you might be able to snowball if you can get aggressive early and start stripping free cities/enemy player's heroes of their items. Considering going with the gloom trait instead of reclaimers to help early aggressive play. It makes every prospect worth something since production goes to you buildings, gold goes to your gold and items add to your income. Also you can prospect and escavate in the same turn so long as your prospecting unit prospects next to what you want to escavate afterwards.

If you play more diplomatically you can buy items off your allies and if you have good relations with them they will sell the items for cheap.
@astralwyrm37874 ай бұрын
One thing in reclaimer's pros is that you can craft Claws for your dragon. I've yet to see any other Claw Weapons up to this point.

After my first game where i had way way way too much spare mana I decided to play a more beast orientated build with summoning society trait. I'm not needing the summoning trait by midgame. I'm thinking the Artifact Hoarder can replace any mana trait in a build with a dragon lord. You get so much mana income it's just that in the early game you won't be getting much benefite from it. So rougher early game for later game boon. Your allies keep producing items so you can keep buying them off them for about 40 - 70 gold depending on the grade of the item. So far I've gone beast -> evolution -> glade -> morale tome -> Greater beast -> Cycles

I feel as if I might be overlooking something, but generally they feel a lot like some mounts did when they were new. Nightmares had a pretty substantial buff too.

Hey I know I'm late to this but I love Dark Culture with Dire Bears. Shock units in general benefit from them as their default attack deals more damage to the farther away the Enemy is, so just alpha strike into defending units

please make a video with a high society taking hermit kingdom and imperialistic and transition to neutral as early as possible with tomes that also boost stability and gain bonus based on it. I think it could be a pretty sick economy especially the research bonus from hermit.

Heyo, just wanted to ask if you saw my build request in your High Fire Inquisition video. I would rather not repost here to avoid spam.

@@Ic0nGaming Ah, one thing I did forget to mention that I just now realised is that you will need to use a ruler signature skill or a society trait for the 6th point of order affinity. Since the Tome line-up only adds up to 5. That was my bad.

Love the build, but on a completely different topic, I have a question. I notice you have a lot of free space on your map not crowed with Mountains, and you're not the only KZbinr I've noticed this trend with. How are you setting up your realms? No matter what I pick I seem to get maps heavily inundeated with Mountains. The only exception is when I do an Islands map. What is your secret, please share. Have Fun :)!

I would be interested in your thoughts on a Perfectionist Artisan build. Seems like it could be bonkers, or, just meh. Same with Hermit Kingdom.
@DmitryOzzy Жыл бұрын
Curious on your thoughts about combination of Merciless Slavers + Nightmare mounts. That combo allows you to hire routed units (and with intimidation aura you can do it pretty easily)
@Ic0nGaming Жыл бұрын
Basically working behind the scenes on a build utilizing this =)
@DmitryOzzy Жыл бұрын
It seems that the best culture pick for that combo would be Barbarian due to the mounted tier 1 shield unit that can shield bash. The downside so far is the amount of gold you need to keep captured units... Also, I couldn't capture tier 4 units this way. Could be a bug or a hidden limitation.

Why did you choose dragon instead of champion (+20% experience)? You want ancient governor ?
@Ic0nGaming Жыл бұрын
In this case I did it for Governor and Shadow Affinity. But you are of course right, champion would be much better for the evolution aspect. And I didn't even notice. Thanks mate o/
