It's always fun to see SoS in action! You should have located your grain/bread warehouse closer to the bakery, grain delivery will limit your bread production at some point. If you had placed it between your bakery and your housing alongside the grain farm, you could have used the warehouse as a noise stopper too. Good call on building a huge storing crate in the bakery, this also slows things down if bread is being produced faster than it can be fetched by the warehouse workers. It would be fun if the tech for deliverymen was also applied to the industry workers (I think it's your own bakers that will go and fetch grain & wood). It's one thing to take things slow, but players should not wait too much to grow their city. Population ages too and at one point you can't get enough immigrants to conterbalanced your older citizen who are dying. That's even more true with humans that have a "short" lifespan. Happy to see that finally the woodcutter is useful! Now, I wonder if it's the same with mines...

Well, shortages like these I usually fix by Haulers in front of my Bakeries. In the worst case you can always relocate a building. Mines ineffective? I found them always being pretty okay as long as you stick to the primary material of your map tile. But yeah, they are worker sinks. Interesting thoughts on the aging population! I never took the game THAT slow, I usuallly end up with having more people wanting to migrate into the city than I can take in. But thanks for sharing, I didn't realize that you don't necessarily get re-migration from outside in a scenario like this.

6:09 it is worth mentioning that the bigger the warehouse the greater the radius
@Ic0nGaming2 ай бұрын
Radius of Warehouses can be configured manually once it's built. You can have a gigantic radius on small warehouses too if you want to =)

Is there a point in maxing out workers on farms or is it best to just keep workload on 99%?
@yoh61616 ай бұрын
No the only thing that it does is they will finish tending to the field sooner. It is more beneficial for the citizens to be oddjobbers than to be on the field.
@samuelmontenegroserniotti71465 ай бұрын
When the farm is just started, and you need to have jobs done arround it use a 70% - 80% workload so they finish earlier and start oddjobing FROM THE FARM. (build roads arround it, clear trees, haul wood, build the farm next to it, etc) When the map is cleared and oddjobers are better needed inside the town, clear workplaces should be 95-99%. Oddjobers work from a radious from their home. Free-time workers (below 100% workload) will work from their place of work. Regular "Workers" start doing jobs arround a "workstation" wich you can put down freely.

@9:04 you start to talk about janitor and the city decaying. How can you tell things are ok? the Janitor 61%? I assume 100% utilization is bad?
@Ic0nGaming3 ай бұрын
Yes you summed it up good. You want to have a workload of 60-80% on your Janitors. If it exceeds this number, better build a new one quickly

Hey I know you've already done a few, but could you please do one video from the persoective of being raided for the first time after denying protection fees. The orevious videos are good but its hard to follow and get the info I need out if a letsplay setting. I am just totally lost. I cant figure out how to get my army to them before they get to me like the game said to do. I have figured out how to walk them around my local map but that isnt helping. Some of the instructions are counterintuitive.

Yeah I've personally avoided the combat topic for as long as possible cause the previous versions had a pretty unfun system. I have to give it a try in v66 again, but in previous versions the game was way more fun by letting combat auto-resolve. Cause manual controls are ... Tough. I haven't won a combat yet by hand, I'm still learning on this end myself ^^
