I play a lot of Rimworld but unlike Rimworld, your character's best stats are the one on the left (PER, INT, POT). Most of the stats on the right become useless when the character got promoted to inner disciple. I got a great farmer with skill in the 80s - feeding the whole village. When this character got promoted, no one can do farming any more. He has to drop all his tools keeping busy flying around on his sword. Luckily, I found the best map ever. I tried it on max map setting (192x192???) with the map seed of 1234567890. You started out in the middle of the best spot possible. Farming lotus on the lake (to the left) means that you will never be hungry (can also sell for lots of spirit stones - just delete that zone and set it to trading zone and the reset after selling the crops to a trader). Grow lots of spirit leaf and other high value crops in the spirit soil. Mountain full of metals/jade/crystal to the south. Great Map. Also, best to start with Reincarnator to choose a few great chars to start instead of some random useless chars. For best early loot, get the Mysterious Cultivator to fight the beast to the right bottom corner. After he dies, you can loot his corpse for artifact, manual, weapon, and clothings.

It's a completely different game, yet it definitely has borrowed certain elements from Rimworld - which is totally fine cause RW is an awesome game. ACS is way more RPG focused. I consider it as an RPG with a base builder/simulation attached to it. Rimworld is much more a survival simulator in comparison to this game. So I am totally happy to have a similar, yet totally unique game here =)

Pro beginners tip: Build so many really nice templates in the Land of Illusions. Sure building can be kind confusing but man does it help you figure it all out. Want to put a stove and a mill together because in your mind you think they should work well together. No no and no. Mill requires its door on the East and stove on the West. So they cannot be in the same room. I think a good project would be, try and make a very auspicious kitchen. I am fairly new but I have a couple designs I like. ones.... that don't cook the cooks. Since fire is a base element of stoves making the stove earth allows it to feed itself. Now the issue is how to you feed it to very auspicious without raising the temp to high and killing your chefs.

@@Ic0nGaming ok finished, I like what I see :) The trees seem a bit distracting (too huge), but after watching the whole video, you get used to them pretty fast and learn to like them. I read chinese webnovels (90% is about cultivation "xianxia") since 2015, only a few were aviable back then but now there is so much to read. Ever since then I fell in love with "Eastern Fantasy" but the games that use their culture (like in novels) are limited outside china. Or just badly made. I like Rimworld and having cultivation in Rimwrold seems amazing, will get that game, Ty for this video :). Some random stuff probably not important for the game: Regarding traning spots, its probably not important in this game, but for role play purpose you should put them in everyones room, they are called "cultivation caves" if they are in a sect, there are also special training rooms where they have to pay "spirit stones" the room is better for QI gathering (you called it magic xp). They need quite enviorment for traning, disturbing someone while he is training is very rude, can cause them injures and if you disturb someone stronger, well they will kill you. There is no law in cultivation worlds, the strong eat the weak. :D Oh and depending on the level of the cultivator (their live span increases with each level), when they reach immortality they can't die of old age, and can go into their cultivation caves for many many years, in some caes millions or billions and ponder about the dao.
@Ic0nGaming4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your detailed response! I really like that fantasy setting too, even though I haven't read anything out of that genre. I always had a deep love for those "over the top" asian movies (Hero for example) but not with the fantasy aspect added in. This game is for me as a fantasy nerd and a lover of geeky and overly powerful martial arts and myth ideas this game really hooked me up. Expect more content and I hope you enjoy the game too =)

@VladamireD3 жыл бұрын
@@shi-woonyi2605 there are similar to "cultivation caves" are in this game, but for the beginning neophyte type characters it's not needed. Generally, I'll build out some 2x3 basic bedrooms (door south, bed on the north wall, lamp in corner) and a training room or courtyard for them to practice in. I'll also build element specific rooms with beds and training spots for the Outer, Inner, and Golden Core level characters as they need to have rooms of a specific element to improve cultivation, ideally containing Qi gathering (I think that's the descriptor the game uses) items (so if the character needs Metal, the walls, floor, roof, and furniture all need to be made of Metal, or at least elements "neutral" to Metal used minimally). When one of my low level guys is ready to advance to the next level, I just have to assign them a new bedroom of the appropriate element.

Lol I am at day 100, got 2 golden cores (one is t1 - to my luck and your room guides) but still havent managed to solve even the first mystery. Also, how are you managing getting the rarer materials, (like Earth Flux, Soul Pearl, Phoenix Feather etc) I managed to buy a couple of the mid tier ingredients here and there and the issue is I cant begin trading with other sects for their high quality ingredients and consumables as they require high tier consumables and ingredients to even allow entrance.
@Ic0nGaming3 жыл бұрын
Gratz to them Golden Cores! Earth Flux: Found in the Gemspring Caves near Mt. Shu. You need to explore the place a while. Send Fire Cultivators with high Luck for best chances. Soul Pearl: Usually comes around naturally in massive numbers. Every Demon Beast of Golden Core or higher drops these, and in later stages of the game you will be raided by a couple of those every now an then. You will have more than you need. Before that, they are a bit hard to come by. Overall ALL materials are quite good obtainable while entering the locations (Let them camp there and enter the map). Most maps have something going on which is worth looting. Among those Phoenix Feathers (Phoenix Cliff near Mt. Lucian) and lots of other goodies. All these maps are only inhabited by low tier Demon Beasts. A good pet and an Artifact Power of 250+ is sufficient to clear everything easily. Hope that helped!

@@ruskie8308 tbh, I like novels like "Peerless Martial God", "Martial God Asura" but I would never recommend them to a beginner :P I would suggest something from the Author "I eat Tomatoes" like Coiling Dragon or Desolate Era. Because novels with over 2000 chapters are not so long because they build up slowly, but because chinese authors get paid for each word/character they write. So you will get a lot of repetitive plot. Go to an area, get called trash, kill young masters, try to escape from their relatives, get stronger, kill their clans/sects, move on. thats what happens in novels with over 2k chapters (most of the time!). Lots of face slapping too, its like junk food. Still I love it. But not to a beginner try not to turn them off with novels like this, or at least give them something with less chapters.

Yaoguai just means demon/monster in Chinese. Just very lazy translation on their part. They didn't translate it and just put the phonetics for the characters in. In Chinese mythology like any animal can basically cultivate and eventually take human shape. Edit: Also yes everything can be sentient in Chinese mythology as long as they absorb enough Qi XD

This game is like dwarf fortress only in how they both have an abyss of complexities, except in dwarf fortress you utilise the game's features to create a "puppy fountain" or some demented shit and here you construct god. Rimworld is terrifyingly complex compared to the typical video game, DF and ACS makes Rimworld look like tic tac toe, if there weren't any documentation I'd probably have completely fucked up my ACS experience, please, I beg of you, reader, if you ever play either of those two games, read some guides, use the built-in forums, install more mods than seems reasonable after getting into the annoyance of managing your sect.

Are there cultivation levels?
@Ic0nGaming3 жыл бұрын
Yes there are. Cultivators have several "levels" they go through on their way to becoming a demigod Outer Disciple - Inner Disciple - Qi Shaper - Core Shaper - Golden Core - Primordial Spirit - Demigod. Cultivators turn substantially stronger by reaching new levels (at least most Laws do, there are big differences between the laws) and gain access to new skills when they reach a new level of those mentioned above. A Golden Core skill is stronger than a Qi Shaper Skill and Primordial Spirit Skills are way stronger than everything below, so unlocking higher Levels is very beneficial for the potential power of your dudes and dudettes. I hope that was kinda helpful

I'm sorry but you don't explain the "before the start of the game" part well enough, I don't know the game, I still have lots of questions, like "luck: it's quite explicit"... ? how ? what does it actually affect? chance of criticism? better loot? get sick less often? And for the perks, it looks like a link to the previous perk that appears when you select one, so I guess it's not there for nothing, but you don't explain it either.
@Ic0nGaming6 ай бұрын
Yeah, I agree that those were quite some shortcomings of the video. I was just starting out with the whole tutorial business and all. Just to answer your question now: Luck does increase everything which includes chance in any way. So whenever something involves a %chance, Luck is involved. This makes it kind of a super power stat, cause many important things in the game rely on RNG. Considering the perks: I cannot really add much into it at this point, I can only say this game is quite overwhelming and I did my best way back then and I am sincerely sorry for any shortcomings of the video =)

Too bad there doesn't seem to be mods, it's really what makes Rimworld go from really good to fantastic. i've also heard the end game here sucks..
@Ic0nGaming3 жыл бұрын
Game has mods. End Game is about monster hunting / world domination / stat min-maxing. Sure, not everybody's cup of tea but "sucks" is a bit inaccurate :D All in all it is a less polished game than Rimworld for sure, but it's also a completely different game. Amazing Cultivation Simulator is way more about character development and less about survival and base building than Rimworld.

@@Vurt72 The biggest issue with mods on this game seems to be translation issues. And the UI of this game is straight from the 90's - but beyond that there's some good fun in it

I'm 12 hours deep and still have very little clue on how to play, some of the tutorial's English translations are a bit off so it's hard to learn that way. I think I've grasped survival and building and all the inner disciple mechanics, but have not tried much beyond promoting someone. The tutorials are so draining and don't explain too well so hopefully I can pick it up faster here
