2:40 Small correction. Daily salary is just a rough overview of how expensive a merc is. They don't have a daily salary per se, well they do, but you always pay them in advance. I found that this estimate is more or less showing you if you have enough money to renew their contracts. For that matter, hiring them for two weeks is very efficient and important. Another important thing to note is that Medical Fee/Reimbursment/Insurance is one time pay only and it's even returned if you stop working with that certain merc

@@Ic0nGaming You get it back 100% if the merc is unhurt when the contract ends. If the merc is hurt this gets reduced and may even end up at 0 if the merc is badly hurt or dead.

Im at 5 cheap mercs, my only diamond-mine has been depleted. Contracts end in a day and im at 10k. RIP i guess

@@TeamJY Well in all honesty, the IMP was always to me personally the most boring part. I love the personalities of the dudes and I never had the massive urge to create my own character. But also I gotta say, this list could be way longer than just 10 points ^^

@@Ic0nGaming I agree, the personalities are great and they haven't done a terrible job of carrying the likenesses, but the ridiculous quiz to produce your character and having an avatar in the game gives its own experience. I just always saw it as step 1 in a JA2 playthrough, and it seems the same here, the option doesnt jump out at people though which is why I guess I expected a mention of it. Great video all the same.

I'm about 27 hours in and have a full squad, I have around 200k and making mad money, I dont want to ditch my guys for better mercs but what else is there to spend money on?

How do you craft ammo and gear? Loving this game but it is far too opaque in regards to key systems. Talk about a game that requires mods, thank goodness it has Steam Workshop support and already several useful mods.

Not sure if you can actually craft gear. So far I just looted and modded everything. Ammo can only be crafted in sectors that have the required structures. It will be avaliable in your operations then.

You can craft only ammo and explosives in sectors with a repair shop (towns mostly). Go to Strategic view and click on the O key to open your operations menu. Then at the bottom (you will need to scroll) you will have the two extra operations. They do require gunpowder and parts, so make sure to stockpile those. Tip, craft mostly large calibers that are difficult to find, like .50 BMG. :)

Autoequip is kinda lame hey? Like, so that means the weapons were lying around ready to be used, the only thing missing from battle ready soldiers was a bit of teaching... Mod community will fix that

Optional. Has some really good individualization and low costs so it's basically a very strong pick. If you want more "story" it's better to leave him out, so you can bring one more of the pre-made mercs (which all interact smh with each other and the environs)

Yeah the characters make this game very fun. I was laughing constantly about how much Steroid sounds like 80s - 90s Arnie in his action movies. Sure, it's more of the same jokes from JA2, but is that really a bad thing? :D

Headsup to those that are struggling, there is full Steam Workshop support for mods. I got the cheat mod, and I am using the money cheat as I figure out the games systems.

Heads up to the cheat mod - the likelihood of cheats ruining your overall gaming experience is beyond high because you found out what the late game stuff is without all the effort (aka the 'game'). Cheat mods are fun for 3rd, 4th & 5th playthroughs

@TeamJY To each thier own. In my opinion, this game has serious balancing, material, and progression issues, even on the easiest difficulty. The ability to tweak parameters of a game like this are present in many simulation type games. Valheim, Project Zomboid, and Xcom are all games that either have built-in options or mods to adjust gameplay to a users preference. This game more than any I have played in recent memory, should have extensive options built into the game to tweak gameplay. Either way, it is a great game with very interesting systems both in combat and in the overworld map that I think will benefit immensely from mod support.

If you are struggling on easy mode, this is more a sign that you don't really understand the game mechanics. And you will most likely not learn them if you cheat your way thru.

This game does not only have an easy mode but several easy mode +++ options like more cash, less fatigue, less healing time, no permadeaths... savescum galore on top of being easy af. Thats enough of 'cheats' for anyone struggling.
