The success rate of Ilayaraja's 80's and 90's was like more than 90%. If layaraja did 40 movies a year in 80's, most of movies were hit. We still consume Ilayaraja's songs as new ones. ARR is a great addition to Indian Music to continue Isaignaani's achievements in Indian cinema. But you can't compare Isaignani's music with anyone because of his uniqueness in creating a new trend in the world of music. Isaignani's was people's music where as ARR's was mostly corporate cinema music. We still love his great contribution to Indian music. Congratulations to A.R. Rahman for his 25th year in Indian Cinema!
