The notes at 1:42 and 1:55 are just unbelievable. Have heard thousands of singers in my lifetime .... yes, thousands of them ... and have never, ever heard a voice like this one. His tone is amazing. I actually think that this episode (with Lena Park as guest) has the best singers. Bang SeJin (singing Gather My Tears), Kim EunBi (singing In Dreams), and Hwang ChiYeol (singing Confession) are just too good to just stay as amateur singers. They didn't look down on him for being handsome at all. Firstly, his speaking voice wasn't really as pleasant as a 'singers' voice. It sounded very small and timid. Secondly, his pronouciation was also a little bit off at times. And lastly, the contestants are suppose to talk about their life stories here but he mostly talked about being a fencer rather than anything regarding Singing. I don't blame them for eliminating him at all. He has a great voice and it's such a waste. But the judges and audience was not at fault

The original singer of that song committed suicide on January 1, 1996 .It was Seo Ji-won, he was 19 at that time. His music company decided to released it even if his dead. There is no music video. That's why they used his funeral service as the music video of that song. It was sung first in Persevere Goo Ha Rae in 2015, before Jo Jung Suk sing it in Hospital Playlist 2020.
