iCar Vgate & OBD Jscan ELM 327 OBDII (worst title EVER) Jeep JKU Tire size recalibration (tuning)

I tried out the OBD Jscan app (1vin-locked license = 18.99$USD) the app requires a more advanced form of blue tooth connection which the device Vgate makes does. 29.99$USD Amazon. It works well but is a little fussy to initially connect to my phone once that was solved it worked perfectly.

I'm shocked at the difference this made for me. After doing some research about why my Jeep was hard and late shifting, I ordered Vgate and downloaded the app and paid for the license for a total of $55.00. I discovered I was two inches off and so I changed my tire size in the app and now it drives and feels totally different. It's dead on with my speedo and my RPMs are a lot less and I can barely even feel it shifting now. I even brought it to a transmission shop a while back and they said nothing to me about the tire size causing these problems! I'm totally amazed and highly recommend getting this app even if you only increase by an inch. In my case, I only needed to do the tire size change in the app and nothing else to notice a major difference.

Where in JScan did you find the option to change your tire size? We have used JScan for years, and this same excact VGate iCar Pro (in fact own 3 of those, we keep one in each vehicle for diagnostics) and we have been all through the JScan program and never found the place where you can change the tire size. What module or setting is it located under?

On the Main page once you're connected you are by default on the Dashboard tab, if you look to the right of the Dashboard tab you'll see 'Modules' then 'Adaptations'. Select the Adaptations tab then scroll down to 'tire & axle settings' it's in there

Yes I believe so, but I do think you need two unique keys then you can make a third jscan does have a Facebook group that is super helpful

I purchased the N430 head unit that I believe was in a 2010 JKU from Offer-up, it works great and doesn't require a security code, but it's not the one that came with my Jeep. Can I still unlock it using the JScan tool? Anyone know?

I'm not personally sure but the JScan group ok FB answers questions like this almost instantly and it's a great way to learn about some of the other app features

I bought this to unlock the rear camera on stock Nav radio with an aftermarket camera. Installation wasn’t too hard. Everything works and I love the JScan app and VGate OBD but I’m trying to unlock the in motion video playback and I can’t seem to do this. Anybody know if this is possible on a 2013 Wrangler JK? I’ve been looking all thru the JSCAN app but haven’t been able to unlock video playback while driving.

I don't know if JScan can do it but I have another unit that makes it possible called lockpick which overrides the GPS input tricking your head unit to seeing the vehicle as not in motion. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoDIq4xvo82ngqM

Hi! when i turn off the engine, icar pro won't turn off, the lights keep blinking. i don't know if it's bad for my car battery to keep it plugged in, blinking all the time. what about yours, is it on when engine is off?

It is just indicating that it has power but I do not leave mine plugged in unless I'm going to use it.

Can this change the tire pressure warning system so that it is not notifying me that the tires are less then 30psi when I air down

I believe so but I have a Canadian Jeep in the US and it have the wrong TPMS in my tires and it doesn't show or chime- so I didn't even have to flash that
