About the "machinegun fire only", they could do as in ultimate admiral dreadnoughts, where you have independent control for main and secondary weapons, both in the target and agresivnes. You have 4 options for each one, "off", "save (very likely to hit)," normal" and aggressive (shoot when in range)

Well actually... The defensive line was called "Panther-Votan" for a reason. Panther line was the part of defences leading from Baltic sea to Army Group Center and the portion called "Votan" was coming from the Balck sea. Germans were. Red Army freed Gomel in November 1943, which means that the part of "Panther line holding into 1945" actually refers to the northern sector and not Gomel, where the mission is taking place. However it seems that developers are living in a slightly other world, because in our world, Red army broke through the Panther line in september-october 1944 and in the middle of october 1944, the Army Group North was already blocked in Courland by the Red Army.

@@rafaelpereira2816 thats true, while other fronts were unique in their own kind, the eastern front is grand in ww2's scope anyways. But the game can get repetitive in units, I think a more unique storyline in the case from the men of war series is needed to keep a more diverse and fluid gameplay style.

its a full version game but because of relics autism and copyright mumbo jumbo they had to market it as a dlc for call to arms (it does use the same engine).

Where did the panther line last till 1945? The only german position on the eastern front east of prussia in 1945 was the Kurland Pocket and it wasnt Part of the panther line

I like how often american developers like to overpass all the credit for the victory of the Soviet army, like thanks to its number. But it is a lie. For example in Chine amount of people were much much ahead according to Japaneese army. But Japaneese won in this region, crushed chineese army and occupied Chine very well. So generally stop refer to ,,big amount,, of people in winning of soviet army. Amount of people is a good point, but comparing to China's defeat, without good strategy, clever generals, amout of people wont help you. Red army win the Nz Germany thanks many reasons, not because of snow, cold, many people, and wodka.

the only thing i dont like is the clunky inventory system on troops. engineers should be laying mines and building defences, they should also be able to build ammo crates in positions where they are needed.
