But on the other end Dhoni started hitting Malinga and Murlidharan, that's was also the most important innings.

Sachin and shewag also had the same responsibilities as gambhir so Sachin and shewag's responsibility shifted to gambhir with high pressure and he handled with his best effort and after that it was comfortable for dhoni to play the innings since the score was set as run a ball so gambhir played slow and dhoni can hit however he wants because the score was balanced and yuvraj , Raina set batsman are yet to come so if dhoni fails earlier yuvraj and Raina might have finished too but if gambhir failed earlier whole innings would have been in danger and sri lanka would have been champions
