India is yet to find a suitable replacement for Yuvraj Singh. Such was his greatness! A batsmen who can win you matches while batting at 4,5 or even 6 and also, can vary easily give you 10 overs! And not just any 10 overs, 10 very economical overs with some important wickets here and there. Even in fielding, he didn't leave any stones unturned. A complete cricketer in all manners in my opinion.

We can’t compare anyone with someone but i believe his prodigy Abhishek Sharma can be a good all rounder like Yuvi too,Abhi has that big hitting capacity and can bowl excellently well too but all he needs is good coach who will boost his confidence a bit more and may be who knows our Gautam Gambhir can make it happen by being the best coach for ICT.

This was the first cricket match I watched live on tv. I was six and my elder brother was so hyped when Yuvi walked in (he was a huge yuvi fan). When Yuvi started hitting six 6s, me and my brother were jumped up and down. I really didn't understand what was happening but was so happy to seeing my brother so excited and hyped up. After this over is finished, our landline phone rang continuously and my cousins from different cities called us sharing the fun that just happened. I was working in the US when this happened. I was at the office, and me and another Indian co-worker were following the ball-by-ball commentary on Cricinfo. Each time the page refreshed another ball showed up as SIX. Almost seemed too good to be true and I kept visualising what shots he may have hit. And then finally the last SIX! Such an amazing proud moment! And just the two of us Indians celebrating amidst all these Americans who had no clue what had happened.😂

I have been watching cricket for now 25 years. I have never seen a player like Yuvraj. I was a right handed batsman but after watching him play that night I started practising left handed batting. Today I was watching the road show of 2024 t20 wc winning Indian team in Mumbai. I was so happy for our boys yet so sad for that loss in the 2003 wc finals. That could have been the best moment of many of our lives. I still see that cup in Dada's hands in my dreams.
