Note about the dragons: Ice and Fire males will have spotted wings while females won't. Females also have curvier horns. Lighting dragon males will have subtle lighting pattern on their wings. and a note from my expirance: when you attack stage 4 or 5 dragon underground they can chase you BUT they are capable of destroying block. If they aren't very deep under, they can dig to the surface and fly. It's handy to have an ender pearl to quickly teleport to the higher ground . Other than this I very enjoyed the video and Im happy to hear about possible future updates :)

Fun fact: if you petrify a mob with the Medusa(or gorgon as it’s named in the mod) head you can pick the stone mobs up with a silk touch pickaxe

A good/passible way to tame an amphithere is to smack a villager within their range, then when it comes to attack you, jump on its back.

All-time mod I've heard, as a general design critique that I also have of mojang, I think saphires and amethysts should be merged. You could just have to kill a dragon of the right type for its scales, and combine that with a amethyst for a summoning crystal. Whenever you can cut down on waste by keeping individual items more feature-heavy, like how goats are wasteful since sheep and cows exist, although the knockback is a cool feature and if I made the game I'd make it so you can shear hoof keratin one time which can be used to give weapons a higher tier of knockback. Make it clear its not coming from the horns, I've heard bad things about horn shearing on cows, lbut hoof's have to be for domestic goats. This is a big criticism of vanilla copper. Sapphires could for example be used, just like in real life but with a fantasy asthetic, for a new type of magical lighting, shimmering high-durability glass that wont melt or explode, and new enchantments added by the mod that maybe wears out over time on top of decorative block(s), making the saphire always a good thing instead of only good if you want to summnon one type of dragon. Add saphires to your armor, bejewel yourself for some benefit. Real life saphire armor can shatter bullets, so maybe it has some arrow resistance and is translucent.

I love the idea of this mod and Ive played A LOT of the 1.16 version but i found some things that deter me from playing again. First of all the majority of the models feel buggy, not having smooth and natural moves but rather flapping and spasming around. Second of all, mobs like hydras, sirens, cyclops, dragons and sea snakes are WAAAAAY too common to face. Ive had to tone everything down by a significant amount in order for my game to be playable. The sea snakes litteraly jump out of the water and chase you on land, even if you are not prepared they can instakill you. Ive had to encounter sea snakes almost every single time ive gotten on a boat. All these things make the mod almost unplayable for me and i really hope the developers have fixed at least a majority of these issues for the 1.18 release. As i said before, i love the idea of this mod and all power to the developers for their hard work but in my personal opinion, these issues are way to serious not to be dealt with.

You can configure the spawns and even blacklist some from the overworld, so you could just put the dragons in the nether or something. Also I believe the flying animations were improved in the 1.18 port. Or at least the flying itself was improved. Feels much better than the 1.16 version.

I love this mod so much cause you can get the most Badass armour ever in minecraft. The Dragon Steel. I don't know much and haven't watched the full video either but I think dragon lairs are found pretty deep underground and are pretty rare, sorry if that's obvious though. You could try spectator mode if you haven't already. I hope this helps.

I have a question with this mod. So I added the mod midway in my sever which already has a bunch. of mods. I am seeing the occasional dragon spawns, as well as some other creatures, but also a lot of the other features seem to be missing? I don't see any hypogriffs, sea serpants, and even dragon spawn is rare. Is it because I added it midway or should I be more patient in my searches?

There pretty rare I recommend having one of the mini map mods and Turing your render distance up and look in the map for nest of weird structures and if that dosent work you could tweak the spawn rate I know you can but you gonna have to search up a video for that

The big underground caves are really rare and there's nothing in the mod that lets you find them unfortunately. You just gotta get lucky. There's a couple other mods that add some items to help find the caves at least. The Dragonseeker mod, the Dragon Finder mod, and the Eyes of Ice and Fire mod.

*nerd mode activate* Those 'dragons' aren't actually dragons... looking at the anatomy, those are technically wyverns. If you want the anatomy of a True Dragon, take a look at the Ender Dragon. Two hind legs, two front legs, and two limbs serving as wings. As wyverns have two hind legs and two front limbs that serve both front legs and wings like the 'dragons' shown in this mod.
