Ice Buildup in LG refrigerator

My LG refrigerator gets ice buildup in the bottom and it's a pain in the arse. I believe at one point something blocked the proper closing of the freezer, things thawed, water then froze somewhere it shouldn't have and blocked a... drain? Haven't solved it yet but I feel like it'll take emptying the unit, completely thawing it, and then things will be OK again. PITA.

There's two drains in the back of the LG I have. Both were preventing water from draining into the evaporation pan because they had little flapper valves that were mashed against the pan. Fiddling with them opened up the drains and allowed water to exit the fridge properly.

On the outside or inside?

They were on the outside back of the LG. You have to take off the cover to see them.

Turns out we just had to replace this fridge because of this! The water that would eventually drip over the front edge corroded part of the Yoder loop in a place they said they don’t fix (LG’s repair people). Fuckin shame the thing was not that old and in good shape otherwise :/

I didn’t, and by time I had LG tech look at it the dripping in the front had corroded the Yoder line (sp?) and the tech said it couldn’t be fixed. Pathetic really but I should have taken action sooner so totally my fault. I had to replace it, damn shame
