Great idea. That ice wall and archway look fantastic. I especially like how you can reinforce it and hide the beading texture. Plus this ice terrain can be used in a Star Wars role playing scenario as well.

Pure genius. I've been in dire need of a fast, simple ice terrain technique for a 1940's pulp campaign I'm running. This is IT. Thank you for another great one, DM Scotty.

Very cool Scotty. As you were making this I had an idea. If you happened to need an archway / doorway that was going to end up a little top heavy for whatever reason, you could insert some screws or nails into the bottom "feet" of the foam archway before you put on the base piece. That would add weight to the bottom so it wont tip over. Love this :)

Good idea.

Very nice, I love your work. One more suggestion if you don't mind, taking care of your tools. how do you clean your brushes? you are using acrylic paint, and glue, and what-have-you on them, aiming you don't use them once and throw them away, how do you clean them and keep them usable?
@theDMsCraft8 жыл бұрын
Simple soap and water...make sure to not let paint or glue dry on your brushes.

I have this idea in my head for an adventure called "Aerie of the Ice Phoenix," where the players are in a race against evil forces to stop them from getting to the ice pheonix's nest, and the whole time it acts as an environmental hazard by attacking both parties since they're too close to it's eggs. It will be a while before I get close to making that adventure (I'm not even in the correct Genre at the moment :p), but when I do, I'll have to remember these videos.

Do your ice coloring with the transparent paints for "Sun Catchers"

That works too but no need with thinned paints.

I got it at Hot Wire Foam Factory.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGPRkHiYh9-NZsk Or make your own this ones nice as you can use it as a table cutting at angles with a fence to make foam cuts of the same thickness. Can take it off use freehand even use with a 6 volt battery if you aren't near an outlet. Also do a search for styrene cutter home made.
