Well done! Watching this reminds me of my ice climbing course this year. Such an awesome and beautiful sport, but oh man does it suck all of your energy out of you.

I wonder if you could test the river ice thickness with an ice screw?

Awesome ..... have you climbed with ergonomics before , if so how do you find them compared to the X dreams
@alpinegremlin44082 жыл бұрын
I haven’t had the chance to swing the ergos!
@darylmacvicar63132 жыл бұрын
Ordered them but starting to think I maybe should of went X dreams
@alpinegremlin44082 жыл бұрын
This is all word of mouth and not tested but I think the X-dreams have a little more of a natural swing. 🤷🏻♂️ but I’m sure they are both the same when it comes to steep ice I’m sure they are both equally amazing

Wondering what gloves you’re using?
@LyleMyers2 жыл бұрын
They look like the same fishing gloves I use, SHOWA TEMRES 282-02. They are great.

Feel like a noob asking this but is it normal to run 2 ropes on technicals? Why do you do it?
@alpinegremlin4408 Жыл бұрын
Don’t feel like a noob. Good question. 2 main pluses for a double/twin rope set up. If the route is wandering you can keep on rope on the right and one on the left. (if you watch the video you can see red in clipped to the right screw and blue the left) Also you can tie both together when rappelling and get a full 70 m rappel.

@@alpinegremlin4408 Ah I see! Great response thank you! I've only ever done a single rope but that's a great idea I'll have to try! Thank you! 🙌🏼

4:50 that's how I litterally cut my rope in two parts ;-)
