Boy do I wish I had the energy to make this. I'm disabled by fatigue. I enjoy watching cooking videos, and all of your videos. Neither the cake nor the ice cream is overly sweet. Ice cream cakes were favorites of my children, especially when they were younger. Their favorites were bought from Dairy Queen. Hi iMaGiNeMyShOcK! It's been a long time, but it is great to hear from you again - how are you doing? You are absolutely correct - xylitol is anti-cavity. I highly recommend that you get birch-based xylitol if you can find it, rather than corn-based xylitol. Xylitol can also be substituted 1:1 for the Lakanto monkfruit sweetener that I use in most of my recipes. I have also found that, when I make sweetened condensed milk or caramel syrup, it dissolves better and doesn't recrystallize like Erythritol. Thank you for pointing out the anti-cavity effect of xylitol - I am sure that it will be helpful to many people. I would like to wish you and your loved ones a very happy and healthy Christmas!

Can you use monk fruit /allulose blend? I can not use erythritol.

Hi Debra! Thank you very much for your question. The short answer is "Yes" you can substitute an allulose monkfruit blend. Depending on the brand, you might want to taste for sweetness if it is not a 1:1 replacement for sugar. Alternatively, you could get xylitol, just grind it up to a fine powder, and substitute 1:1 by weight. I would like to wish you a very Happy New Year and all the best for 2025!

Hi Vonita! No, it is not meant to be a copycat of the Dairy Queen ice cream cake. This is a hybrid that uses chocolate cake and the soft serve ice cream. Cheers!

The Dairy Queen version has a chocolate cookie crust, not a chocolate cake crust.
