Mysterious Skin; a VERY important book and film that never got the attention it deserves because it deals too honestly with a topic too many people don't want to talk about.

Mysterious Film is a fantastic film. Extremely sad, but really well acted and pretty accurate portrayal of the outcome of individuals who experience sexual abuse. Highly recommend it.

@@Starweezer thanks for the warning and since I posted I did find out what the movie is about and glad I had some warning before watching. Definitely not a light hearted/drama mix, coming of age story as I had initially assumed. Going to psych myself up for it and maybe watch this weekend. Also found, if I’m not mistaken, this song isn’t actually part of the soundtrack! But now they are inextricably linked in my mind, and still love this song more than any in a long, long while!

I've liked Joseph Gordon Levitt since he was on Third Rock as a teenager. Very versitile actor and a decent person as well - not that common in this profession.
