I’m reaching for him - making memories when ever I can. He’s been an outdoorsman his whole life and we just opened up the world of ice camping as of it was a natural progression leading up to this.. there’s no stress out there with him. It’s not a problem- it’s part of the adventure, He likes to travel in the winter , Dino Fo grab at any chance we can get on icy together.

love ice fishing on devil's lake. Never caught any burbot but plenty of trout...and only trout, ice fishing.

I have always found ice fishing incredibly difficult, haha. But so beautiful, touching, and adventurous. Unfortunately, the part of the world I live in right now, there is no way I could do this, so I appreciate you creating some cool videos like this and sharing it with us, :) wishing you the best and a lot of catching success.

Careful with that heater no co2 sensor. Buddy heaters are way safer for sleeping. Throw a cheap CO alarm up in the mesh of your ice house. Nobody wants the permanent sleep.. good times though!

I’m happy with it. This video was the first time using the otter- You can see us unboxing it on ice- Did a bit of research before making the purchase- My dad a life long outdoorsman really got a kick out of sleeping on the ice at his favorite state park- As if all the years of camping and winter camping let up to this like it was a natural step. I had so much fun out there- it was a bummer leaving- hence here’s a donut to make you feel better. Good stuff. Tight lines my friend.

I found my rattle Reels at farm and fleet- or fleet farm- Amazon has then as well. they were the less expensive unit.
