Ice Fishing Crappies - Under Water Strikes! Aqua Vu 715c

The Crappies were growling, and the aqua vu was actually recording. Awesome to actually have an ice season.
I dont recommend the Aqua Vu 715c if you are trying to record, maybe I got a dud but the video outlet on the Aqua Vu sucks and doesnt record 4 out of 5 times. Only if the chord is jammed in just right does it record, but you don't know if its working until you pull out the SD card and upload it to your computer.

Been looking to get a bigger camera like that model..Have the micro revolution.Are a useful tool for finding weed edges and fish.Has its limitations in deeper water like you show and murky water.Wish I could get into pan fish like that now.Not overly abundant I believe in the small lakes I am fishing.

@@jimlahey3919 Same lure I use. There's a Bass Pro Shop not far from me and I buy the pearl white color to use for crappie during the cooler months. I rig them weightless with a size 4, 5, or 6 hook and flip them. I reel very slowly as I constantly make little twitches with my 5'6" St Croix Premier. I very often see crappie flashes as they shoot up before going back down. I landed one of my biggest crappies of all time with one, which was a 14.5" 1.51 pound slab.

I will share a secret. I take off two ribs off the front of a crappie magnet and catch way more fish. just cut it off and slide on up to jig head, this positions the hook in tail section for better hook up.

“Consistent 12 inchers” those fish are about an inch bigger than the hole you drilled. No way those are 12” fish. We can all see that they are 9-10” just by comparing them to the size of your auger hole.
