Welcome back to another ice fishing video. In this video we are ice fishing for walleyes with a variety of jigging presentations. Catching a lot of walleyes while jigging is all about the cadence used with each lure. In this video I talk all about my experience with different lures I use while ice fishing for walleyes. In this video we catch a pile of walleyes through the ice while jigging. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for your patients and willingness to hunt down some hard water! Unfortunately the big ones decided to stay deep, it was still a great day watching you catching eaters. Happy New Year and here’s hoping for some colder temps in 2024 🎉🎉

I'm in Southern Nebraska and it's mid janurary. We went from 30s-40s all of december with a few days below freezing. This past week just dropped from that to single digit highs and lows as low as -25. Wind and snow, went out after work to check the ice and got a solid 9 inches of clear ice. I bought an expensive tent and auger this year to really get into ice fishing and fear I may only get to go out 3 times, this friday, saturday, and sunday. because the following week is above freezing with a slight chance of rain likely to kill the ice.

You don’t have to drive all that way Tom to catch lots of big walleye. There is plenty of safe ice in west central Minnesota. Just there is 1,048 lakes in a 65 mile radius in the county I live in. Most lakes haven’t been fished in years if you know what you are looking for around this area. Most locals won’t give much information around here just about the bigger busy bodies of water.

Heading up your way tomorrow night to explore your lakes and do a little camping! A lot of the smaller lakes don't have any recent lake surveys which is unfortunate

Is their a chance you can dump the Bird and get a garmin? Way better bottom quality and easier to see the fish on video. I've fished with all of them side by side and by far garmin was way easier to use and way clearer and better real time.

Good video as usual. Watching you struggle through the ice season has me watching our water Temps here in the west. We have a potential weird prespawn and spawn period setting up. Our spawn Temps seem to run 45 to 50 degrees, currently we're running 10 degrees warmer than usual ( 47 degrees +/- a degree. What do you suppose happens to the spawn cycle if water Temps start higher than the trigger temps?

Honestly we have some good ice around Bemidji and the big lakes are the only ones I wouldn’t trust this year but even with all the rain and warm weather the ice I been finding on smaller lakes is actually better ice then we have had in the last ten years so instead of hitting big lakes try smaller lakes. Alota small lakes I fish have had bigger and more fish then the big lakes I have ever fished. Good luck everyone and be safe
