Keep in mind that a lot of people that watch this channel have never ice fished and are watching from warmer climates. Some things (like driving on a frozen lake) is every day stuff for us in the north, but other people that havent seen it think it's cool. Thanks for watching!

Kyle I think you missed a great opportunity. you should have froze some ice cubes to some fishing line and reel them in. That would have been ice fishing... Catching actual ice.

I was raised on the coast of NC but was fortunate enough to live on the U.P. for quite a few years. We were all raised to never go out on ice because in NC it would never support someone. I did go ice fishing, on a much smaller lake that Lake of the Woods, and it was really exciting and rewarding, but nerve wracking. The mid-winter view from on a lake while it is snowing is breath taking. Very cool video.

Iv never seen a fishing hut like that where you actually get to sit inside with a heater on and fish. I’m from England and we just don’t get weather like that at all. Not even a small garden pond would freeze over enough to walk on let alone something this size of that. Thanks for showing x

Out on this lake they actually have named streets and everything. It's like a town on the ice. Theres a main street, then other side streets that are plowed and have names. There is even a bar and restaurant out on the lake! It's a lot of fun.
@joanneforrest18304 жыл бұрын

what part of you is german ähm mum or dad influence? Also a tip for "the future": The overhang of the roof over your door- if you could isolate this part with wood (2 centimer-10 centimer or so) then you would keep the cold out of the wall. Thermal bridges are created outside and inside.And the cold can press through an eara of that wall verry easy. Greeting from Hamburg
