When you grow up playing the sport catching the ball with a stick is almost like catching it with your hand. It's second nature. With that said it's definitely a skill.

In outdoor lacrosse the goalies have alot less equipment. But the field is alot bigger and there are almost twice as many players on the field. It's alot harder to get a good shot on goal. In indoor or box lacrosse the shooters would have a field day if the goalies didn't have that many pads. Sorry for all the comments. Not many lacrosse reactions on KZbin and I love the sport. I also love hockey!

Wayne Gretzky said lacrosse was his favorite sport. He quit because it was too ruff.

You should go watch a game in person. There's a lot of teams in Canada, what area are you from?
