ice nine kills never lacks in any department 1. the references and lyrics are amazing and well thought out 2. the riff at 4:24 is based off of the halloween theme 3. this one's kind of subtle, but impressive: the chord progression in the chorus is the chord progression in the halloween theme 4. the breakdown is based off of "the shape stalks" from the halloween soundtrack they put more work into these songs than you'd think

@@nutthutt1698 This is metalcore yeah but nowhere near hardcore. I love metalcore, nu metal and melodic death metal for their drops, switches and mostly melody. Hardcore on the other hand i find almost impossible to listen to. Hardcore has much heavier punk elements in it, with the drums and the "singing" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardcore_punk You can tell by the shouting kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6vSc6WPi55_Y9k and the somewhat monotonous drumbeat ^^ I love most kinds of metal, but we used to have a monthly hardcore-party with a 1000+ guests in our town and the DJs on all 3 floors took suggestions and played anything that registered as "Hardcore". I was hard pressed to find anything I could stand. ^^ Among the only bands I liked, that they accepted was Devildriver kzbin.info/www/bejne/apbdpqqlZ9KVf68 Long story short: there is a big difference between most bands that register and harcore and those that register as metalcore. While metalcore is my favorite music genre on this world I can't stand most hardcore for more than 15 minutes. Just because the words are similar doesn't mean the music is.

On November 7th, I saw Ice Nine Kills for the first time and I also decided to crowd surf for the first time to this song!! It was such an epic moment for me!!!

I absolutely love this band and I'm seeing them for the fourth time on the 26th up in Detroit. I haven't seen them in like eight years, but it's amazing to see how far they've come. Their music, even though it was always good, has only gotten better as time's gone on. Also, Spencer's a really great dude, and I've had opportunities to talk with him the last three times I saw them live. He's really humble and down-to-earth, and just an overall awesome person. I can't wait to see them live again after all these years!

Definitely one of my top metal bands to date! I was a fan of them before this album dropped, but once it did, it completely changed the way I viewed them! This band is a complete experience and it's awesome that I get to hear songs about some of my favorite characters and movies! I saw them literally a month after this album dropped and it was awesome. I got to see them twice last year within a two month time period as well. Can't wait for the next!

This song and album are top notch and possibly the Best Metalcore Concept Album EVER. Metal and Horror were meant for each other and finally Ice Nine Kills took it to next level. I can't get enough of The Silver Scream and I really hope they continue with the horror movie themes on the next album.

When you get to studio work, the number system is going to be your "Holy Grail" For recording: all the practice for getting a song down is going to be "the good old days"... When you run through until you hate what you have created, to walk away and pick up again getting it down with plausible cheats, to walk away disgusted with yourself and pick it up again for the strictest adherence to the creation... That's when to record 😰 (I played studio Bass, went through each stage at home, just to be ready to give "product" from all the intensive music study.)
