Synopsis: After the triumph of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, numerous factions continued to occupy the vast snowy plains of the three provinces in northeastern China. Among them were the notorious mountain bandits who held sway over the numerous mountains in the region, perpetrating various atrocities. Additionally, there were ambivalent forces who wavered between supporting the Nationalist Party and the Communist Party. Yang Jianfeng, a platoon leader in the Northeast Democratic Army, was assigned the task of participating in an operation to combat the bandits.
Under the guidance of Wu Rundong, the political commissar of the Northeast Democratic Army, Yang Jianfeng fearlessly ventured into enemy territory, facing off against the bandits and relying on his wits to secure victory. He employed various tactics to persuade Dan Niang, the formidable female leader of the Menghu Mountain bandits. Eventually, they foiled the machinations of the Nationalist Party and garnered the wholehearted surrender of Dan Niang and her followers. Together, they successfully eradicated the mountain bandits from the region.
