Just to be clear, I went to the festival, and it was a big show for new years. She was one of many performers and I left the audience after Tinashe finished because I knew Ice Spice was coming on next, turns out I had 20 more minutes to get away lol but yeah just want to make it clear that she was not the only artist there, there was also other stages to go to while she was 'performing' and although I totally agree she is just the worst, I don't understand why so many people commenting on this don't seem to understand that it was a whole ass festival at the showgrounds and was not just an ice spice concert... Also, not just as an Australian but specifically as a Queenslander, we don't have a lot of performers come through here so it was a great opportunity for this kind of event and literally the only shitty part was Ice Spices inclusion, which was easily avoidable. Just letting you know Acheeto, love your content, but sometimes you do ignore information that is absolutely out there just to do the basic story. It would have been cool to see more of the coverage on this be a bit more nuanced and understanding that those of us who went were not necessarily there to see her, in fact I was not the only one running away from the main stage when I knew she was supposed to be coming on 😂😂

I’ll be real, I only knew she existed for the longest time cause of passing references and still had no idea about her music or… even that she was a musician, I thought she was a meme cause the first thing that I heard was a reference about the “you think you the fart”, and then I thought she was a meme musician, it was only over the past few weeks that I tapped into the drama. Now I’m glad I didn’t really know about her work, cause overall? She’s an example of both industrial plants being rotten to the roots and a platform built on others’ names, as well as an example of when someone is new and shooting because of looks and/or memes, and without any skill or talent to keep it up, it shoots down. She has both. And I don’t get the shit thing, there’s so many references to shit and farting, it feels like either an appeal to fetishes, or mockery.
