I met Ice-t on the street of Amsterdam in around 1998-1999 he was touring with bodycount. I did not notice him at first but there were some girls asking for autographs from this black dude,.. and I immediately thought : RNB singer or movie star ,.. and then I saw it was Ice-t. So I politely asked If I could have an autograph. And then it happened!!!!! He was the kindest, coolest, sweetest guy, he asked me if I was going to see the show? I told him I was not. He said that there might be some tickets left And if I wanted to come I should check tickets out. He shook my hand and kinda patted me and the back , smiled and wished me a great day. And I just stood there....... kind of trying to capture what just happened. Now let me tell you,.. I was not a huge Ice- T music fan. It was to hardcore for me. I liked his acting ,.. but that was kinda it. But because of the way he was,... every time He is on tv or there is something on TV,.... I remember that meeting , and the fact he was such an incredibly kind guy. I know famous people do not always have the time to do this. But it was really cool and nice he gave people the time and showed the interest. For me,.. Ice-T can not do wrong for the rest of my life.

I'm a white dude and I don't act "black" or "street" and i have such a great time with my black friends and talking to black people who have come from a very different place. I find that the last things he said about just being real has been so true. A little insight into white people world... a big reason why white people love black people or its culture, maybe NOT on a societal level but a personal level is because being "real" or true to yourself is way more respected in black culture from what I have seen, and that is almost NEVER pushed or talked about in a white culture. Of course plenty of white people are "real" and true to themselves and plenty of black people are posing as something else, but as a culture I have seen a lot more fakyness that is encouraged to lubricate your life in general from "white" culture. Every culture can learn from each other in a lot of ways though. There is not a "better" one.

No. The 80s were the last time you saw the music industry show off new styles of music. The industry goes for the the sure thing, because it's more profitable. But during the 90s came the internet, and just like self-publishing authors, there is new music all over the internet. You just need to stop waiting for radio stations, television, or any other industry-led media to feed you what they want you to buy. Get off your ass, spend the time, and find the unique music yourself.

@@brandipaugh8176 My podcast reviewed the Manslaughter album by the Body Count or Ice T's metal group last month. The name of the KZbin podcast is called (Behind That Suit) & the album might not be your taste or at least I'm assuming but anyway I would love to hear your thoughts on it because you're from a time period of quality music & as long as you comment we will respond. Another album review I requested is (DELTRON3030) which I think might suit your taste better but checkout the review before you listen to the album so you want be lost about what's going on. The two guys are Chris & Holden & the female is Bonnie which you'll hear them mention my name in the review. They started the podcast to understand Hip Hop better & I hope you enjoy watching & listening.

I agree. He's matured but he is the same, down to his core. I loved his reality show with his wife. He's so wise.

64 years old and he’s has been in one of the hardest hardcore bands since 91’ and he was the original OG going back to 85’! He doesn’t get enough credit for having the awesome band Body Count which the white boys new right away that this wasn’t a money grab. I saw them in their first tour with Body Count opening for Carcass and Kreator was playing the big room. I was there for Carcass as Insalubrious just came out and Kreator was on the first leg of their masterpiece Coma of Souls tour. There was a club in Rochester, Ny called Backstreets. So Body Count was first on the bill. These were the days when if a metal band came to town it would be jam packed. I thought it was going to get crazy in the pit when Carcass came on but I will never forget how fucking loud, tight and completely into the music and general scene that they were in. Ice T stage diving into the crowd. They pumped up the audience to such a level that it was the first and only time I got a touch of the fear at a metal show and I had been in and seen countless bass that fit into the metal genre. I will never forget that show. They made a statement that this isn’t some bullshit.
