Hey Radh - you could try letting it brew for less time, the longer you brew green tea the more bitter it gets. You could also try a tiny drop of honey.

Lol, you took the peel off the lemon and left the bitter pith THEN cut up the lemon with the bitter pith and put it in the tea!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes - that is a darn good spot, but it's for the brewing part you want to avoid soaking the bitter pith. I drink it too quickly once served and garnished for it to make enough of a taste impact.

Question: if you cold brew green tea do you still reap the benefits / antioxidants etc. from the tea?
@KatiePix8 жыл бұрын
Well, I am no expert BUT I read studies that indicate that steeping tea for at least 12 hours has better extraction abilities than hot water brewing. Meaning you can end up with the same if not more antioxidants. Worth a google, I say!

Ok fine, I'll comment to get a reply :D but I do actually have a question. Do you think if you were to brew double strength, with double the tea bags or half the water, you could then have 50% tea to 50% sparkling water?

@Kalitheros8 жыл бұрын
They sure do look good! I think I'll coldbrew some green tea overnight with some lemon zest! Usually I would go with strong earl grey hot-brewed (loose leaves) with lemon zest, then adding the juice of 1 lemon, cool over a lot of ice (which smelts and dilute the tea) with sugar to taste. Of course you could argue that Colgate-Palmolive wouldn't want added sugar and acid considering their line of business.
