Just saw this post. Thank you, my friend. I played the solo on this song (and others). A lot of my heart went into this guitar solo. No one knew but I tapped into a very sad place when I recorded it. Great band and more so, great guys! Clyde was a treasure and is missed. Take care.

Fun facts from one of the original band members: - This was recorded in 1989 by the original Biloxi lineup. Clyde Holly (Lead Vocals & guitar), Jim Toucey (Keys and backing vocals), Levell Price (Bass & backing vocals), Tony Radford (Drums). - Clyde Holly played rhythm guitar on this song. - Our buddy, Jerry Campos, played the guitar solo on this song. - Clyde owned many, many Hamer guitars at the time. - Bass player, Levell Price, went on to later play with The Eric Sardinas Band. - This song is actually just called "Goodbye Love". I think this got flubbed when the Japanese record label released this old demo as an actual Biloxi album and just guessed at the song titles. - This is a 48-track recording done at Chameleon Studios in San Fernando. (2) 24-track, 2-inch decks synched together. Yes, this was just a demo. - John Fogerty was recording in the studio next door to us for several months. I fixed one of John's tube amps while we were recording there. - Sheena Easton was auditioning band members for her "Lover in Me" tour in the rehearsal room next door. I ended up running sound for her rehearsals after the Biloxi recording was done. - We had The Cars live audio engineer, Chuck Fetyko, mixing and co-producing. - Drummer, Tony Radford, was using the new Paiste 3000 cymbals at the time. - Jim Toucey was using all Korg Keyboards at the time. Send all questions to Jim Toucey at Gwim20

Lyrics - BILOXI - Love Prevails (Goodbye Love) - 1989 Could you spare just a moment for me We talk, but it gets us nowhere Light sparkles in your eyes as you say to me, “Let me breathe a little bit of air” In these times of anguish, love prevails your heartbeat seems so distant, so far away. We thought we had it all, but we gave it all away Oh, goodbye love... Hand in hand we were caught with our guards down And if only we could bring it back somehow Hearts grow stronger one thousand times more When you care enough to only love just one In these times of anguish, love prevails your heartbeat seems so distant, so far away. We thought we had it all, but we gave it all away Oh, goodbye love... In these times of anguish, love prevails Our love song is over and I'm really sad to say Oh, Goodbye Love... AND In these times of anguish, love prevails your heartbeat seems so distant, so far away. We thought we had it all, but we gave it all away goodbye love...
