I really like this! The first seconds were frightening and I really feared the worst. But then: It turned 180° and became a relly good song with a lot of fun, silly costumes, icelandic crazyness and a singer with a really good voice (reminds me of a famous singer in the 80s but I can't remember his name). This one I really want to listen again. The nordic countries are always good for a surprise (maybe sitting in the dark during winter time, sipping glögg and vodka and nibbling on dried reindeer meat while listening to howling wolves and whispering nature goddesses is good fuel for creativity). I'm really curious how this will be judged in the contest...

And you're right, "og" (oaH) means "and" :)

I agree. Also, I know the key change is a cliché, but I do think it makes this song better than the Lithuanian one. The Lithuanian song, though fun at the beginning, gets a little too repetitive and thus boring towards the end.

Daði is the singers name. Gagnamagnið=data-quantity. It´s the name of the band. FYI Björk is so 1997. Iceland is SO much than just Björk. : )

We love this one. We don’t really like the Lithuanian song. But Iceland is awesome. Great song. Great voice. And such a fun performance. We hope this will go far!

Ever since Iceland's song has been released there is a lot of comparison with Lithuania's song going on, but I find the two songs very different on many levels. Musically Iceland bases its song on a disco vibes while Lithuania on new wave / synth sounds. Lyrically, Iceland's song is about father speaking to a daughter, so it's feel-good fun personal-family song while Lithuania's song addresses a larger social context (ageism and age-related prejudices and a celebration of a self-confidence). The choreography is also different, as Iceland's choreography is more fun-quirky while Lithuania's is art-quirky (as there is such a massive synergy between the lyrics, the message and the dance in their performance). And even if I like Iceland's song and think its a great addition to ESC, I think Lithuania's song is way ahead of it on many levels. But I think there is an audience for both songs in the competition.

I like this, they are so cool, so original, so fun!! Not my favorite, but my top 3! My kids dance and laugh and feel happiness every time they hear it, so it's for sure this song sends out some good good vibes! His voice and this music remindes me of Chromeo(Needy girl, Don't Turn The Lights On are theirs songs I like the most! )
