Wow. You have been consistently flying the most informative drone footage by a country mile. These low angle shots to the horizon give a real feel for how high up the lava fields are now. You show us clearly how much work the engineers have been doing to keep the lava flow heading east into Natthagi. But we can see how the flows are now overtopping the hill ridges, not just flowing through the valleys. Your previous fly-by video showed us the huge rift that's opened up in the western wall of the volcano, this one shows us how the plume is undercutting the western wall of the cone as well. Fantastic job, well done. PS, you might like to clickbait up your titles, this number of subs means too much potential is going to waste.

Wow! Just got to the point in the video where you see the interior of the volcano and you can see where the lava now enters the crater... it's not that one confined space anymore! That's quite alarming and dramatic. Makes me wonder how robust that wall is, if that much change has happened in barely a week.

Haven’t we wished to see the stream from it’s comparatively small source all the way to the edge? Yes! Look how the stream rises up and over that obstruction it formed earlier. Could water do that? No, lava can! Wow!
@robertslugg83613 жыл бұрын
Actually, water can, when it is cooled and in the form of ice. You never want to be near a partially melted river in the Spring. Bad things can and do frequently happen. Lava doesn't behave like an ideal fluid because the density and viscosity change a huge amount over a wide temperature range. Think back to a few months ago where the entire lava bed in the valley was being raised by the hotter, denser lava underneath. This is just one of the reasons why lava always wins. It cheats! ;-)

Yet another wonderful video! Thank you! I am amazed at what is going on in the crater. At some time if the weather/wind/gases cooperate I’d love to watch a whole pulsing cycle. It looks like there is now a channel that the lava is coming up the wall in… what happens when the pulse force dies back? Are there lower outlets? Does the level of the lava pool inside the crater go down? So many questions to ponder over! 🙂 Thank you for the time and effort you put into providing us with a view to this magnificent event!
@tonyowen1163 жыл бұрын
You noticed something similar about the lava coming up behind a section of wall in the crater (2:17). Given the views in this video, the amount of lava coming into the crater, lava should have over topped the rim by now; but that hasn't happened. I suggest there is a conduit between the SW part of the crater and the head of the lava stream. In this and other videos, it seems as activity inside the crater builds, so does the lava river head flow rate, and amount increase. I would like to see what happens between major pulses as well.

epic. epic. you are building a saga with your vids, people will cite years after the vulcano has stopped erupting... somewhere in the far future. thank you so much for lending us your eyes. . your footage is showing some important things. (a) there will be a collapse of the western wall of the cone if this continues like this.... it has eroded big caves already (b) once again, it shows that the official calculation of the output is drastically wrong... remember the small cone "bob" when it was 5m3 per sec... they say, now it is 8 ... looks much more, sth like 50 to 80

Thank you sooooo much for this astounding video! It's obvious that the main vent is now right under the W/NW wall of the existing crater. The lava is just pouring out of two places in the wall like waterfalls and then, obviously draining through a pre-existing lava tube to the opening down slope. Also, your footage shows clearly what is on the _other_ side of those big berms. No one else has ever showed me that before. Thank you! Thank you! Now I understand why they've been working so hard to keep ahead of the lava.. Hertfordshire Allotment Life pointed me to you channel and I'm so grateful. It's sad that so few people have seen your great work. I sent you some money for a coffee.
