During the sixties, people didn’t have much connection to society, so people weren’t so exposed to the worst parts of it. But, in the millennia before us, people were still hurt by each other, and we’ll stay that way as long as we continue on this earth. We always destroyed each other’s civilizations, and raped millions of other people, and some of us always lacked empathy, others were brainwashed or indoctrinated, and these things are all things which have always been. It’s just that now since the internet has become so widespread, we’re seeing really how hateful and ignorant and stupid we are. People fight over literally anything on the internet, and some people torture others and share it on the internet otherwise we wouldn’t have ever come in contact with that media. It’s not the most fun thing to think about but 😭 society has always been this way and will always be that way, we just have to lower our expectations. Individually we can’t change really anything, but for those who don’t engage in shitty behavior, it’s up to them to create a reason to be alive. There is a whole ton of shit on this earth and a whole lot of reasons to just end it all but look closer into the world and you’ll see its beauty

Most countries have rules stating that if you are are threat to "public health" you can be deported. I'm surprised to hear that in Iceland this applies to EU/EEA citizens like Spanish citizens. Btw. I lived in Kuwait my whole life and you can be deported for having certain health issues that are a threat public health. The system was so refined that if the doctor finds you have a certain listed illness, they enter it in the system, the ministry of health is informed and then the info is passed to the directorate of residency affairs and your residency permit is immediately cancelled with a 90 day grace period to wind up your affairs. You can never visit the country again even if you lived there your whole life on a residence permit.

If he is being deported to Spain that would imply that he is a Spanish citizenship holder. How can a Spanish citizen be deported unless they commit some severe crime since EU and European Economic Area citizens have freedom of movement to live, study and work into each other's countries. Is it because he is a threat to the health system?

He ain't European. Neither Spaniard nor Icelandic. He is a Palestinian Arab. Citizen does not change your ethnicity. He'd get treated but he can't stay in Iceland. He isn't born, a citizen, or even an ethnic Icelandic. The world must help the Palestinians to get their land back not make them stay everywhere else.

Iceland doesn't have discriminatory procedures for people who are already Icelandic citizens that have non Icelandic ethnicity. Nor does Spain. Once a citizen always a citizen.
