Icelandic lava coast soundscape

Soundscape recorded on a lava beach along the south coast of Iceland. Recorded at night with no other visitors present.
The sounds of waves crashing onto lava are quite distinct and different from sandy beaches. And different from rocky beaches. In the first half we listen to the beach from about 30 meters away, in the second half we approach much closer for a more detailed sound
